Government Shutdown

I think this is it: H.J.Res.28 - 116th Congress (2019-2020): Further Additional Continuing Appropriations Act, 2019 (and for DHS specifically, H.J.Res.31 - 116th Congress (2019-2020): Making further continuing appropriations for the Department of Homeland Security for fiscal year 2019, and for other purposes.)

The bills passed the House previously but failed in the Senate yesterday (or a similar amendment failed in the Senate yesterday). Per this C-SPAN clip, they passed the Senate tonight (though congress.gov hasn't been updated to reflect that yet).

Also curious on this. Our next paycheck is due to be Tuesday, can we expect to be paid then?

From a NATCA VP, no idea how accurate this is, just repeating the information:

The TENTATIVE pay plan is as follows:

Monday (1/28): process straight 80 with a 60% net. Expected deposits on Wednesday- Thursday

Tuesday (1/29): process straight 80 with a 60% net. Expected deposits on Thursday - Friday

Friday (2/1): process time cards for actual pay with correct withholdings and premiums.

Friday (2/15): process any outstanding necessary amendments.

Anyone have a link to the language of the bill that was passed? Curious as to what time exactly the shutdown ends.
The Senate has already passed it; the House is expected to vote later today, and the President is also expected to sign tonight, according to the latest media reports

Efff that... Go back, do the T&A's for PP1 and get it right, send out an amended LES so I can see where everything is at and going. Same for PP2.

Im waiting on 3 holidays and once they start chopping shit up good luck of making any sense of it.

That would be the smart way to do it... but c’mon man, this is the FAA. It’s gotta be done assbackwards and Inefficient.

Maybe that they are going to withhold 40%, and use that for when they can process all the deductions and withholdings. This seems like the fastest way to get us paid.

See, that's fucked. Two weeks ago I got paid for the Friday OT I worked before the shutdown and they took out ALL my deductions/withholdings, except for income tax and TSP. And earlier this week I got paid for the Sunday after the shutdown and same story. That 2/15 check is going to be a GIANT shitstorm that will take months to unfuck.

I know but seriously... When i changed facilities in May of 18 I got boned on pay. I got a check for 300 bucks because my last facility didn't process COS. I got a one time payment for 2400 and then the next LES said - 2400 advance pay and yada yada yada.. It took awhile to figure everything out and that was straight pay COS. I can't imagine dealing with premiums and holidays...

We were told that our payroll folks were coming in once a pay period to do all the CASTLE work and have it ready to send when we were funded again, so I don't know why that just can't be sent up the chain to have checks cut for the correct amount. How much auditing do they do with the information once it reaches Denver or wherever?
