Well the thing about split government is you don’t get everything you want. Mitch doesn’t seem to understand this.I think Mitch is trying to skirt the restrictions by giving businesses an out

Yah. They pass a bill. Then it goes to conference and gets negotiated. Mitch hasn’t passed shit.Neither does the left when they try to slip their agenda into bills
Show me where there are lifelong debilitating effects of COVID. Seems relevant since we are discussing the topic of disabilities
I got the percent off what the CDC mentioned last month.![]()

Doctors Begin to Crack Covid’s Mysterious Long-Term Effects
Severe fatigue, memory lapses, heart problems and other complications are plaguing patients who weren’t that badly hit initially. ‘It’s been so long already, it’s kind of daunting.’www.wsj.com
And the death rate is far higher than whatever you claimed. Combined with being highly infectious, this disease can kill millions in the ?? alone.
So you have no business blowing off the damage this virus has done so far. You just admitted they don’t know shit about fuck yet.I got the percent off what the CDC mentioned last month.
And the thing about long term effects is that is hasn't been long term enough. Mono takes up to 6 months before its effects dissipate, so there is no telling what the effects are at this point. They are STARTING to figure out what long term effects there may be.
So hypothetically struggling businesses should pay everyone to stay at home?So hypothetically struggling businesses should pay everyone to stay at home? Those cheap ass business owners are on the brink of collapse. The economy is in complete shambles despite whatever wallstreet or Trump will tell you. Do you have any idea how much it costs to deal with legal bullshit? Small businesses can't afford to pay for a full time legal team to fight the frivolous bullshit lawsuits, let alone any settlements since it is usually a lot easier to just pay to make it go away. The only businesses that could survive are the too big to fail ones you hate so much. Steve the restaurant owner or Janelle the boutique owner would just have to shut their doors. Also, you hate capitalism but it has provided everything you have in your life today. You guys love to talk about people voting against their best interests but you guys constantly vote against the economic system that has lifted the most people out of poverty and provided the largest increases to the average man's quality of life and no other system has ever come close.
As mentioned above, small businesses, aka the backbone of America, would shutter en masse. Millions of job losses would result. The wealth gap would grow even wider. You don't even necessarily have to win the lawsuit to file it. There is so much damage done simply by the filing of the lawsuit in the first place. Like I said, it's often times easier to just pay the bribe and settle than it is to actually fight a lawsuit, even though we all know it's bullshit.
Not blowing off the damage its done. Its fucked the economy besides larger businesses, clearly air travel is ruined, and people have died. However, its treated as though you've received a death sentence once a test comes back positive. So you have no business blowing off the damage this virus has done so far. The funding is getting held up by protecting business from covid liabilities... Shut down thread approved in my eyes. We just took the scenic routeCrucify me for this if you like, but, back on topic? We all have varying opinions on the politics of the pandemic, but this is a government shutdown thread.
I was going to argue intent of the thread, but this isn't my responsibility anyway. Continue as you were. The funding is getting held up by protecting business from covid liabilities... Shut down thread approved in my eyes. We just took the scenic route
I’m all good for the night. Gotta find something else to do with my EAI was going to argue intent of the thread, but this isn't my responsibility anyway. Continue as you were.

Well for starters they could tell Karen to fix her chin diaper or get the fuck out.Not blowing off the damage its done. Back to the original discussion, even if its deemed a disability later, how would a company being sued fix it? Prove that they gave it to you and not Karen shouting for a manager with her mask on her chin.
The economy is made up of small businesses too. The ones that are failing and as a result driving more business to the corporations you hate so much. Double edged sword here. Exactly why it’s taking so long to pass a budget that everyone agrees on. Nobody will get what they want and in the end all of us who aren’t elected officials will be dicked over one way or the other.Well for starters they could tell Karen to fix her chin diaper or get the fuck out.
I gotta love how you dudes are all the "economy the economy! We must protect the Waltons q4 earnings at all costs!"
Like dude your 401k is gonna be fine. You aren't gonna need a wheelbarrow full of benjies to buy a loaf of bread because of this. Can we worry about..... People first?
I don't care if it's Amazon or Joe's antiques and fine cat wares on mainstreet in bumfuck, Ohio..... Don't be a scumbag employer, That's the crux of the issue here when it comes to lawsuit protection, not company size. The economy is made up of small businesses too. The fatigue is unreal. I’m talking stopping you dead in your tracks.![]()

The cost of legal fees for these small businesses would sink them. Especially on the heels of the shutdowns. Amazon will be fine and so will every major company.I don't care if it's Amazon or Joe's antiques and fine cat wares on mainstreet in bumfuck, Ohio..... That the government is actively engaging in probably the biggest bottom up wealth transfer in human history guised as pandemic protections instead of doing something actually beneficial for the citizenry is something else entirely, as is the question of why you would support those people to begin with.
who is getting sued?!The cost of legal fees for these small businesses would sink them. Especially on the heels of the shutdowns. Amazon will be fine and so will every major company.
Wouldnt it be so tragic to sue your employer into closing their doors. Who wins in that scenario? Amazon, Walmart, etc.
