Government Shutdown

I’m glad The House passed a CR, so this forum can continue to provide me with entertainment for at least one more week. Hopefully, the house and senate can set aside a couple differences and reach an agreement soon. LOL WHO AM I KIDDING?! Get your 0% loans, and NATCA picket signs ready!
Man people didn’t want to hear our whining last shut down when the economy was booming. No one is going to give a shit now lol.

Yet you're more concerned with a vague possibility of frivolous litigation rather than the consistent and documented employee abuse issues.

I mean, do you know the largest amount of theft is wage theft? At the cost of taxpayers and states..

And yet you're saying the businesses, which have a long and proven history of abusing employees, deserve more protection than the American worker.
What does wage theft have to do with anything regarding the spending package?

Wage theft is me having to pay the government to be able to work. At least let me know what family I’m supporting on welfare. I’ll put their Christmas card on my fridge.

Wage theft? LOL. If people are being abused so badly, why don't they quit and go work somewhere that isn't so abusive? Or better yet, go into business for themselves! Be their own boss! Maybe even employee some other people and lead by example of how companies are supposed to treat their employees. The hard truth is that the market decides the value of an employee. They can't be paid more than the value they provide to the company. Your idea of "protecting the American worker" only results in worse outcomes for them overall by limiting their options or potentially pricing them out of job. But who cares, let's pass some feel good laws and let the chips fall where they may!

You two are a special type of people.

Businesses have all the protections, and here you are still advocating against the middle class of America for the rich.

Bet you two are all for child labor, otherwise why be born, they should have been born somewhere else if they didn't want to run coal dammit.

Wage theft, alongside litigation immunities, alongside every other type of employer abuse is in the long line of how business is stacked against the employee.

Move somewhere else, go work for someone else, start your own business...with what money? Maybe I don't want too?

All people are asking for is that employers who are negligent, commit abuse, put their employees into harms way, be held accountable. Yet you two are completely against a person being able to seek reparations through the legal system, neither libertarian in any sense and to be frankly fairly communist.

Pssst. We are all middle class here based on salary.

Not my fault I use my money for businesses of my own. I do love me some protections

So allow all corporations to take advantage of workers so they can grow their profits and put small businesses out as they dominate the market share. Then tell the employees if they don’t like it find something else or try to compete with a company 1,000,000X bigger. Yup that makes total sense.

I really hope it is man. We already have enough anti-vaxers as it is lol.
I’m def gonna take it. We could be normal by summer if we get it in enough arms. The most important is getting the old People. No one is gonna care about young people getting sick and dying by their choice once the hospital isn’t overran
