If I wear a blue line stripe flag is that a violation of the hatch act? I’m being told that it supports Trump and NATCA doesn’t like it
LOL anything can "support" Trump if the right person deems it so. Better not wear red, yo! Please don't live your life based on what natca likes or doesn't like.
As far as "thin blue line" or other types of flags go, there are protocols and rules of etiquette we used to learn as a matter of course in (gasp) school or community organizations. Those other flags should be frowned upon, even if the aim is to support noble professions (well,
sometimes noble in some of those colors LOL)
While not law, these dos and don'ts used to be widely recognized before commercialization & commerce, plus a general miseducation and loss of decorum became a reality over the last 2-3 decades. The following are just a couple of the rules to maintain respect of the American Flag:
Patriotic Decor and Public Displays
Guidelines for Using the Flag in Decorations:
Unaltered State: When displayed, the flag should always be in its original form, without any modifications or alterations for decorative purposes. The flag's integrity,
colors, and design should be preserved, appreciating its official appearance and the significance each element holds.
Dos and Don'ts of Wearing Flag-themed Apparel:
While expressing patriotism through flag-themed apparel is popular, it's important to do so with respect for the flag's image. The U.S. Flag Code advises against using the flag as apparel, bedding, or drapery. Clothing that features the flag should not replicate the flag exactly but rather suggest the flag's design tastefully.
