Previous record was about 240 so if 500 left I would consider that shattering.
But anyways, it will be interesting to see what happens this January. Did the largest exodus already happen, or will hundreds more be influenced by the hundreds who left and did not have their worlds end, and be motivated to leave this coming year.
Or maybe everyone is happy now. Inflation is down to 7.5% vs 9% so that 1.6% raise seems really nice right now lol? Or maybe after a decade of fuckiness the new CWG to work on staffing numbers and NCEPT will finally be the X factor to make transferring better lol.

True. But I bet they feel trapped. Stressed. The same way the faa makes us feel. And that’s the sad part about our union. They make you feel like they are just another extension of management.
The 1.6% isn't for inflation. That's what the yearly Presidential raise is for and this upcoming year it's an average of 4.6%.
By your logic on inflation we should get a 7.5% raise in June or 9% since that's what inflation was at yet still decreasing? Good one.

I’ve joined the DOD dark side and now putting in for prior experience bids. Couldn’t be happier. If they give me a shit list I just turn it down and will reapply. Gotta beat ‘em at their own game! That said I’d put in for a DOD spot you’re comfortable with for several years. As far as union goes my old facility was chill. Lots of us actually dropped out of the union no issues

I got out in January and got picked up my first ncept so who’s risking what?
Also I would say between then and now I don’t see any difference except saving $100 every paycheck

They are only $55 and you have to pre-order now due to 4-6 delivery time to have them by Christmas.
Reminds me of the Bazooka Joe comic books in the 90’s worth 5 points each you would get with a piece of gum and if you save 2,000 points you could send them to a obscure address and get a t-shirt with the terms “please allow 8-12 weeks for delivery”.
I have plenty of criticisms of NATCA National but expecting a 7% raise in June isn't necessarily one of them. Would it be nice to get a raise in June that matched/exceeded what the CPI was the previous 12 months? Sure. But then you take that plus the 4.6% or so in January and you're talking about an 11% or more pay raise in a year. I just dont see that happening.
And for the record, I cancelled my contributions to the PAC to signal my disdain for what the union is doing. Should I leave the union? I dont really know on that one. I do think our leadership is very disconnected from the common front line controller.

Lol... I didn't even think about that. I just remember all the posts about this being the most "union friendly" administration or something along those lines. It just makes so little sense to me to extend the contract in the middle of Biden's term and not near the end of it. But at least we have cool new conventions like ATX!
They got 20% OJTI without giving up anything. Imagine being such a Karen that this annoys you.

They weren’t going to give up anything. What do you think the FAA was going to demand is given up?

There's as much evidence that NATCA got us 20% as there is of some FAA manager trying to get a performance bonus and solve our staffing crisis by suggesting an OJTI incentive.
If NATCA was really behind it they would've been putting out press releases for the 78 preceding months.

Plus they really tried to paint the paid parental leave and no layoffs during COVID as a NATCA win when those things applied to the entire federal government.
