Im so sick and tired of all of these establishment fuckers pretending like they’re not part of the problem. Nick has been an RVP and has had a seat on the NEB for years. Jamaal has been the “national training rep” for years. These guys are both firmly established in upper level leadership roles within NATCA. If the union has 0 credibility, then THEY are a part of the system that has caused it. Are they saying the NATCA President is the only person that establishes the credibility of the union? If that’s true, then they’re admitting that the positions they’re in now are ultimately useless. Not defending Santa in any way either, but for Nick and Jamaal to pretend like they’re outsiders who are going to fix everything the day they get a promotion is fucking ridiculous. Best thing I’ve read on here in days. They don’t seem much smarter to me and I think would get outplayed real quick. Demanding to be at the table when they have collaborated all their dignity away over they year is what kneecapped them. Better start listening to the members if ya want NATCA to exist.

Nick has been on the NEB for less than 1 term now... 2.5 years. If we are going to bitch and complain, let's do it accurately.

2.5 years isn’t insignificant, especially considering he was the ARVP and the Facrep of a lvl 12 center for many years before that. He’s held high level NATCA positions for upwards of a decade. If you think Nick is some type of outsider that’s going to drastically change everything for the better the second he gets the “President” title, you’re an idiot. And just to be clear, none of the other mainstream candidates are any better. JD is the only real option for change and improvement.

EDIT: and one more point, we’ve seen the type of “leadership” we get from ND on the national stage recently. i.e. wanting to extend our mediocre, outdated contract indefinitely solely out of fear with the US presidential election. You think that’s going to project “credibility” to the agency?

Unlike all these other clowns, he’s working live traffic 6 days a week. He puts out content as frequently as possible and also will respond to people who ask him questions here. Hell he even publicly posted his cell number and said he’ll talk with anyone who will listen.

Years includes anything that is 2 or more as that’s how the plural works. So it’s still accurate. More than enough time to have made a change, even a small one, that would help bring moral up among the NEB.
