Paul and Trish need more money!

Ha. We have a good contract that could have been even better. So idiotic that they wouldn’t even ask for more of anything. Easy talking points for our economy and Covid and working short non stop.

I’m not advocating this source AT ALL, but it’s interesting there is such a long article about our contract renewal.

All seems pretty spot on from where I'm sitting. Maybe turns out those crazy lefties have some valid talking points to be made on a variety of subjects and it's worth looking into and trying to absorb before buying up all the propaganda hook line and sinker.

Some really solid points being made there about how labor unions (inherently socialist organizations from thier outset) have morphed into tools for management, and that decrease in effectiveness has lead to decrease in membership, which isn't helping you or me when it comes to getting a fair shake from our employers.

Chomsky has some interesting things to say on the subject of how all this applies in the modern world, worth a read/watch if you can open your mind up for a bit without having to dive off into straight up Marxist tankie land.

I rarely say this, I agree with the above communist.

unions serve a purpose, and yeah there’s always the question of whose interests are being best served. And I always paid my dues. Here comes the But-unions reward seniority over hard work and initiative, hold productive workers back, and protect bad employees

This was well researched and written. The bush administration screwed us so badly and Obama was supposed to make it right. While the resolution was certainly better than the white book, it was far from making us whole and did make permanent the two tiered pay system. When NATCA is in bed with management we all lose. When you are screwed by management you turn to the union. When you are screwed by the union who do you turn to ?

I'm not surprised to see Kevin Maney or Dean as donors. They both know how to play the influence game very well. Post retirement plush gigs are a huge incentive to stay in the good graces of the "inner circle".

More so $4,311,225 since 2009.

In 2011 his total compensation was $473,833, alone.
Come on... "official business" is NOT salary... that's expenses and travel on behalf of the organization. Every organization pays expenses for their people to travel, including the FAA.

Constitutional salary...

When you are screwed by the union you take part in the process and run for election locally to get what you can. That’s how democracy works. If you are lucky you can climb the ladder. How many people run for those positions? How many people vote, if you are truly a well educated and wel spoken reformer you’ll most likely get elected. Yes there might be some boot licking along the way, but that’s really out of people’s comfort zones? Cmon.

Also Obama was supposed to make us whole? That expectation was both foolish and unrealistic.

I’ve often found the people who feel the union isn’t doing their job often don’t know the contract themselves and would rather burn the bridge down before they have a better idea.

This is no way is justifying the Paul and atrial slush fund.

You’re talking to people who don’t understand why NATCa didn’t negotiate the vaccine mandate
