Press Conference at 11am

I'll be your huckleberry... not sure why ONT, CNO and PSP aren't part of the LA area facilities. It's not any cheaper trying to survive on AG pay at these facilities.
CIP needs to be adjusted for those three. It’s crazy a couple miles away people are getting 7% more.

Wow. There are lots of places on that list I know current CPCs have been or would like to get to but due to our broken ERR system can't. Now they are giving those places to new hires w/ an "award".

If I wasn't already, I would be even more pissed at the Union. The Union is lucky that most of the workforce is a bunch of gen Z who don't care about shit.

They are blatantly and proudly prioritizing potential union members over current ones, it should be absolutely sickening to anyone paying dues

Jamaal has made it insanely hard to wash people with the NTI and training order changes. Jamaal and Nick are a cancer for this career field.
It’s only 4 days in and we already have a lock for May’s dumbest post. Washouts have gone through the roof. Maybe your facility sucks at it.

It's ok. I know you support Nick and Jamaal. You defended them when I complained about the yacht.

You're part of the problem.

July 2019 shows 80.6% success rate (this is when the NTI started)
May 2025 shows 81.2% success rate.
2022 shows some months of 82% success rate
In 2016, we had a 76% success rate across the NAS.

Now I know I'm not a math wiz but seems like more people are checking out and not being washed out but maybe those success rate numbers are fake news.

The NTI is one of the better things NATCA/ the FAA has done. We def have washed more people out tho but I have no clue systemwide.

NCEPT data available on FAA computers or NATCA website has a column showing success rates. It's up across the NAS.

Personally I find NTI to be awful and just one of the many things NATCA has failed at. It's being used by management to force CPCs to train nonstop even on dead traffic. Causing trainer burn out all to pad ATM and supervisor resumes. You can say this isn't true but I've seen ATMs point out how other facilities were doing across the district and trying to pump numbers to look better. Going so far as posting it in break rooms with the facility highlighted and trying to shame us.

I bet most facilities are on 6 day work weeks because of the NTI. Because my current and past facility sure weren't until it got initiated.

Having a trainee train at least 12-15 hours a week is absolutely nothing. It’s crazy there were facilities not meeting it before it came out.

I don’t think Gen Z cares yet because most are training or recent CPCs. It won’t take them long to realize they aren’t getting paid enough. Especially when all their friends are working remote and have similar pay.

None of my friends make close to what I make, the only ones who make more than me are surgeons and doctors. The median wage in this country is still like 45k, I'm not sure where people think this is some dead end job. So many people here have been in this job so long that you are entirely out of touch with the real world.

I am not one of those. Unless you are at a level 11-12, there are remote jobs now on par with our pay.

The number of lives at stake in the burger industry is of course a lot more than in ATC, and one of the reasons that I strongly advocate that we should make less (and work more). The guilt of my high pay in my luxurious 1-bath rental is too much to bear.
