Rich Santa - Accomplishments, FAA Reauthorization, and Pay. Focus on the Issues!

Anyone can apply to any opening like any other job.
Yep, that’s why I brought up the dozens who are jumping ship and going DoD or OS.
OS's getting deviations is bullshit. Fight all of them.

The first couple of NCEPTs were actually kinda wild with movement. Something like 320 moved each panel.
The first couple of NCEPTs were during a different staffing situation and the panel itself wasn’t subject to different collaborative factors that are in place now. That’s an apples to oranges comparison of NCEPT. But gaddam, I’d love to see a panel with 320 movements now!

Bear in mind, NATCA has “collaborated” to make NCEPT as broken as it is now. An example being implementing the non-waiverable 85% to target release threshold when we used to use the national average. Yet OSs and other prospective management plebs get staffing deviations? Are we gonna pretend like there aren’t dozens taking sup gigs because NCEPT is collaboratively useless?

And I’m not saying to “let everyone move.” In prior comments I proposed an idea to not use the national average with CRWG numbers for a one year pause on movements in hopes to create a steady stream (not a surge) of them after, which was something I thought of with EVERYONE in mind. So with that part said, kindly frigg off with your “but also” energy.
So you want to pause movements for an entire year ?

Movements about to be paused for 4-5 years bro lol. Once the new CWRG numbers hit only 3 facilities can release if they keep the current rules. Which they will, as the FAA and NATCA agree is one of the only ways to catch up on staffing and they don’t think enough people have the balls to quit.
Dont worry, I’ll remind you of this post after every panel. We’ll see how close you are to being accurate.

Hold my beer, DoD about to be fat staffed and other FAA LOB's.

In order to let a bunch of certifications and hiring occur and then use the national average to release after a year so that it would start a steady stream of releases which would mean hope for everyone. Not just opening the flood gates and then we’re back to where we are now.

Also, way to answer my question on what exactly you’d recommend instead. 👍🏻

You never asked me anything ?

You said “ sit with our thumbs up our asses waiting for the union to promote moment” or close to that

I replied and said “the union does promote movement”

Then you said we should stop moves for a year.

You are all over the place.

For who? Why are we punished for it? This isn’t the military where they should just treat us all like little pegs to move around. We basically take the L right now for something that they may or may not accomplish.
It’s in law, the reports to congress from AFN will forever be different. Accurate reporting to congress is what was needed for the last 30 years. It’s finally here. No one should have to deal with staffing bullshit again. There will be small ups and downs but not what we are seeing now.

How about the people that took a loss through the white book because John Carr wouldn’t accept a 30% pay cut for new hires?

Everyone wants instant results, it doesn’t work that way.

I don’t know how you think this equates to immediate compliance with training thousands of extra controllers. We shouldn’t have to give up anything on our side because the FAA didn’t hire enough people
