I mean If I’m making more money in a year I might want new furniture! Seems legit.
Not only that, but my 12 month lease that I secured searching apartments dot com during my 3 days of travel time would be done after a year and I could move to a more permanent situation on a better side of town. There are numerous reasons why someone would need to use their COS toward the tail end of the 2 year allotment. I still have 45 of my 64 hours remaining, 10 months in.

Last week, the President issued a Memorandum deferring payroll tax obligations for the remainder of the calendar year. This deferral applies to employees earning less than $4,000 per pay period, calculated on a pre-tax basis. We are in the process of working with the FAA to determine how the Department of Interior Business Center, which handles payroll for FAA, will implement this Memorandum. We will update you once we have additional information.

Please be aware that this deferral of payroll taxes could potentially result in income tax liability in 2020 and reduced take home pay in 2021. You may consider discussing your situation with your tax/financial advisor.

they think us bitch ass 5 figure salary people have financial advisors?

I love how COVID has melted our brains so bad that we actually have discussions about natca emails. I remember just deleting them as they came before this.

I wonder how much kickback they get on that disability insurance.

I've seen Fed Advantage mentioned here before. I looked at it a little, seems like the premiums are on par or less than UNUM and they pay out much sooner, you don't have to wait 90 days or something. I don't have either yet, I figure I want to reach CPC before bothering to "insure my career". Not a whole lot of point when I'm young and I don't have a lot invested in the FAA.

The biggest advantage to UNUM IMO is that they will cover the loss of your medical as a covered disability, and they do not exclude pre-existing conditions. I don’t mind paying 70/mo I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. But I ride a motorcycle too so it’s a different calculus for everyone, definitely have that max FEGLI lol.

What do you ride?

has anyone ran in to any issues with taking holiday leave. For example being told you have to take either all or nothing. If I want to take 2 hrs holiday leave, and only work 6 hrs, is there anything legally against doing so?

Ok then take 2 hours of sick leave. Can you even take sick leave on a holiday? It always just gets converted into holiday where I work
Exactly. We’ve gone back and forth about it with supervisors. At some point some will grieve it cause that’s not right
