You realize there was an incident in Hawaii where a Japanese american couple sheltered and helped to escape a Japanese pilot who was shot down during the attack on Pearl Harbor right? That Decision didnt come out of nowhere and during a War of total conquest it was the most correct thing to do, given the information available at the time. After the war, it was realized it was overkill, but given what we were up against it’s hardly tyranny. No different than Lincoln suspending habeas corpus In the civil war

look the battle of Athens, 1946 where veterans had a shootout with the sheriff who was rigging an election, that’s a example of fighting tyranny

Jesus christ yeah with that logic, all Mexicans should be shot at our borders or kept in internment camps because some of them might be cartel members who want to kill Americans. Trying stepping back a little and reevaluating your perspective.

But wait! Link: Shoot The Shit
You're the guy that says it's okay for people to say racist shit (in this example, someone saying blacks should be segregated), and it's fine as long as it's off work lmao. Keep being you buddy.

It’s December 1941. You’re the president. The entire presence of the United States in the pacific has been attacked From the Philippines to Hawaii and the pacific fleet almost eliminated as a fighting force In a day by an enemy thought incapable of doing such a thing. Their downed pilot was helped On American territory by people thought to be loyal, right after they attacked Pearl Harbor. You have no idea what’s coming next. This isn’t some police action, this is an existential conflict. The only wrong thing to do is lose. Based on what we knew at the time, it was not overkill. In hindsight it was excessive, but there is no way they could have possibly known that at the time. To judge decisions made in the literal heat of battle by modern sensibilities is foolish. To suggest that it was done for shits and giggles is equally foolish.

In 1942 we put American citizens into concentration camps and no one used their 2nd amendment right to defend their fellow citizens rights. The defense against tyranny is a trope.
In 1942 my grandfathers country gunned down the #3 man in the Reich. Defence against tyranny is not a trope. Everyone has a choice in life, that said also in response to your previous post, slavery was outlawed thankfully.

Ahhhh clearly we need to imprison an entire ethnic group and seize all their assets , and fail to return it to them even though most of them were innocent! You fail to consider people that emigrated Japan... probably did not enjoy life in Japan in the first place.

Kind of like people who fled Vietnam, Germany, Korea, from one side to the other. They are less likely to return mainly due to the factors that pushed them out in the first place.

It's like asking most Middle-Easterners in America if they support the oil royals and their funding of terrorism. Your answer is likely going to be no

So....would NATCA prefer we vote for Trump or not at all? I still haven’t seen an answer to this yet.

I’ve gotten dozens of “register to vote” emails and social media notifications, but something tells me that they only want you to register if you’re voting one way.

Naturally a union isn’t going to tell you to vote for an anti union candidate. But they are sending these emails to all members and it gives everyone the info on how to register and vote. Why does it matter who they want you to vote for? They’re pointing you in the direction to vote and not saying who. (Yet)

I need to invent a drill bit that allows gun owners to bore out the barrels of their pistols and rifles so they can literally fuck what it is they clinch onto so damn tightly.

Tyranny from the minority is better. That’s what republicans want
I am not arguing in favour of either side, but I will vote for the side that does not tell me what to do and or impose limitations on my God given right.

Tyranny of the majority is still tyranny brother.

Translation-democracy and the will of the people doesn't matter so long as I'm getting my way.

As far as all the liberals gun hate... I have a really hard time agreeing with anyone who says we have a quasi fascist with authoritarian tendencies in the white house with wide ranging support of extremists (standback and stand by!) , the cops are murdering people in the streets and abusing their authority, so on and so forth and out the other side of their mouths saying only these people and entities are the only ones who shouod be armed. That's a really really dumb take. You can't have it both ways.

We never actually solved our mass shooting problem. That’s where the dem platform comes from. But the dems also support funding mental health which the republicans claim is the problem but will not fund.

I agree. It's as if we should make Healthcare, particularly mental healthcare more widely available and affordable so these young men can get help, along with fixing the system that throws them into such utter despair at their perceived lack of good future for themselves that makes murder/suicide seem like the just and good option.....

That's got nothing to do with anyone's right to own a gun though who isn't a murderous lunatic. Criminals still gonna criminal, and crazy people still gonna crazy, unless you do something to lift them up. If it's not guns itd be pressure cooker bombs or knives or crossbows or whatever.
