No one is talking about raising taxes on people making 100k. And no matter how much you make your first 100k is taxed the same
Exactly my point. You don't care about raising some people's taxes because it doesn't affect you and never will. But if you they did start talking about raising taxes on hundred thousandaires, which is a very real possibility in the future, then you'd probably have something to say about it.
How would you feel about taxing foreign interests in it?
I think we should definitely be heavily taxing or maybe just outright banning foreigners from buying up real estate but I think the consequences of doing so could prove painful. It's painful either way though. Take China for example. We import a bunch of their products and export USD in exchange. If we limit what they could do with said dollars, they wouldn't want them and would sell them in the forex markets, ultimately weakening the USD even faster and causing import prices to go up until the trade imbalances worked themselves out. On the other hand, right now you have heavy foreign buying in our real estate markets for investments which swallows up supply and pushes up the price for American citizens. It benefits those who already own homes and get to watch them appreciate, but prices out a lot of first time buyers in the market who may have to rent longer, perhaps in an apartment or house owned by a foreigner who made the investment which would further reward them and incentivize them to keep buying up more real estate.

This is what's happening in my hometown right now. Foreign interests buying up real estate which lowers availability and drives up housing costs. Unacceptable. I was thinking that we should tax them, but that seems easily circumventable with an LLC or something else. Next I thought was a non-power usage tax where if someone was using the minimal amount of power in a home they could be taxed but again seems avoidable. Need some way where American citizen homebuyers are favored heavily over foreign interests

States need to put a stop to this, same with companies buying up all properties to let them sit empties as rentals, hoarding all the real estate like a dragon sitting on gold isn’t beneficial to the people

Heard that. A level playing field would be nice. Even issues like landing fees charged to foreign carries vs what they charge us. Immigration laws/entry requirements. Taxes/tariffs. Foreign investments. Benefits paid to new (illegal) citizens. Unfortunately hope of anything similar to that fairness is flying out the window as we type.

Goes both ways. Other countries would retaliate and charge U.S. carriers more to land there. The U.S. already bans foreign carriers from picking up passengers in one U.S. city and dropping them off or even stopping on a a layover with them in another.
Some of y’all need to up your masturbation numbers.
Sorry not everyone has a footlong and a dime piece wife that wants to ride it nonstop like you do. We have to get off on debating taxes and shit. But you're absolutely right

Buuuuuuut——landing fees Already favor foreign carriers-the point here. And 5th Freedom Rights, like what Northwest (only NW) had thru Narita, have always heavily favored forreign carriers.

I masturbate so well, I can get my hand to fall asleep within seconds for the perfect “handjob” from my numb hand. Little finger in the butthole feels good when your about to cum too. It’s like hitting the gap all day long. Feels great! If you haven’t tried it yet, think about it next time.

Hey CF (or other mods), can we get these moved to the “ATC Masturbation Techniques” thread?

LOL. Every tax raise in history is a tax raise on hundred thousandaires. We're in the shittiest position because no fucks are given about people who make ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR!?!?!?!?!, so we get taxed into oblivion, are given NONE of the tax breaks, and everyone presumes we must be driving Maserati's and living our best lives on what remains. I'm uninterested in raising taxes on people who make 400K. Get the guys making 1M to 1 BILLION

I agree. Wealth tax.

Did the shortbus congress of 2021 figure out peak tax code yet or should I come back in a few days?
Come back when you have something more to provide to this educational discussion. We are trying to solve a problem we have no business fixing and won’t ever be able to fix.

when I was a young boy in Bulgaria...

Serious question: what does everyone think about Dogecoin? It’s obviously a joke, until it’s not. Elon Musk and Mark Cuban are on board.
If you put money in, pretend if you spent that money that it’s already gone and you’ll never see it again. Worst case scenario you budget well. Best case scenario you actually made a little bit of money. Don’t think it’ll ever hit $1 tho
