One of the people on my crew asked the OM about this after we had a couple people test positive last week. They don't actually have a plan.

You do realize that their equipment and lighting is designed in a manner to be anti-glare and anti-fog?
 
So I’ve heard 2 things: Instructors/some other people saying training is suspended indefinitely and the head of the training department saying they expect training to resume for some people after the face shields are figured out. Hmmmn

It’s because the current guidance is training us suspended indefinitely. That’s what it’s been since June 15th. Recently the workgroup has said training can resume with the dentist masks. But until that happens training is still suspended indefinitely.

yes.....now put them together and you have a sensible thought. “Training is suspended indefinitely until the face shield study is done.”

Hell I'll even go one step further and write the NATCA email for them:

This is an unprecedented time regarding training and coronavirus. We really don't know what's going on and what's going to happen moving forward. We are trying to find solutions but so far there's not been much progress in regards to the safety of all members in the NAS. We are looking at solutions such as face shields and social distancing, but no concrete solution has been put forth yet. We are unsure of when OJT will resume, but we are doing everything we can possibly do to resume normal operations as soon as possible. We know this isn't the email you wanted to receive but this is the reality of the situation. Stay strong and stay with us, we are 100% absolutely fighting for you and with you every step of the way.
