What's sad is the mentality that people just have to work harder- I know a guy my age who has a father who's a VP at a bank, clears $500K a year with 3 daughters and one son. He paid everything for his daughters- cars, college, etc, and nothing for his son, god knows why.

He works at the city swimming pool front desk, making minimum wage. Didn't even go to college all because his dad wants him to pull himself up by the bootstraps like he did when he was younger, like all men should do. Absolutely boggles my mind why the fuck he isn't helping him out.

I think there are solutions to our nations college debt problem that could be agreed upon by most. Personally, I think General education classes should be illegal. I was never asked about my art history class in an airport management interview prior to becoming a controller. That would have reduced my debt by ~25%.

I can also about guarantee as a guy making XX amount of money I wouldn’t qualify for it, so much for healthcare for all. So like the “Obama care” I don’t qualify for any coverage without paying an arm and a leg to cover everyone else. It’s also an issue that everyone says college is a must, you won’t make money without it, you are dumber than people with degrees etc.

College would be more affordable if they didn’t give out student loans to anyone for the full cost of these ridiculous tuitions plus room and board. If loans were restricted in amount colleges would have to reduce tuition to keep attendance up. Except for ivy leagues and what nots of course.

They’d be better off stimulating the economy by paying off people’s student loan, credit card, and car loan debt. It would free up cash for, not only families, but lenders. It would absolutely cost less than the last stimulus and this discussed one.

Letting the government run education now works great for....? And we already discussed why government-run healthcare isnt any better in Canada, and the reason healthcare in the US is so expensive is because of government regulation. I'm done having cyclical conversations.
