Regardless of what happens with the election the second episode of Mando is on Friday and that makes me happy.

This show is proof that Star Wars incessant need to tell stories about Jedi and the force is misguided. So many cool characters and storylines out there. Too bad Disney nuked all the books, lots of good stuff in those.

I don’t follow the books, but I was confused by this decision. I didn’t really like the new trilogy, and they had all that content that had basically already been tested on the community. And then they threw it out and made some movies that I think kind of broke the universe.

The options are almost endless. I hope the success of mando spurs other series or movies that aren’t the typical story lines put out by Disney.

There’s a new series of books and young adult novels about the “High Republic” era that takes place around 200 years before the prequel trilogy. First book comes out in January, the guy who wrote the first few Darth Vader comic series is the author. Besides a Yoda appearance, it’ll be all new characters and such.
