I haven't tried mead yet. Been sticking to beer the past few years want to give mead and wine a go. I make a pretty mean apfelwien as well.

I think I used too strong of a wine yeast, ended up being like 13%

I want to get back into fishing. I haven't been fishing in any serious capacity in a few years.

I’ve brewed(?) mead twice with friends. Took months and smelled like gasoline but it taste great.Have been trying to do my own thing here but the supply stores are barren. I’ve got tons of honey and two neighbors on the block are beekeepers

Ya my understanding is you need to let it rest at least a year, especially if you didn't control ferm temps wine yeast can give some wierd off flavors.

My experience with TX hunting is unless you have access to private land, which for such a big state the huntable public land access is awful, it's not good.

That's a sample size of one though. But Ya if you have dollars to buy in on a hunt or access to land it's pretty good is my understanding, that was not my case though when I was there.
