Slate Book Extended Until 2029

I really didn’t want to believe it, but can it safely be assumed that Mick Devine was a total fraud and fuck now

Were you even around for the whitebook? I was at ZNY for those years.

When they polled the membership, the membership wanted to open in regions polled. Regardless of who won the presidential election.

However, elections do have consequences, so everyone voted in for the NEB is well within thier rights to extend as obviously they thought it was best for the membership.

However, the membership also can respond accordingly via reduced pac donations, discontent, or 1188’s.

Time will tell if it’s the right decision.

I don’t believe it was.

But I wasn’t elected, so it’s not my choice. However, I as an individual member can voice my discontent too. Let’s meet back here in a couple years and see-
The NEB did not vote for this.

My RVP is saying they were never consulted and this was 100% just Nick. This document says the RVPs were consulted. I honestly wonder which is right.
This is correct.

The NEB did not vote for this.
No, but people voted into the NEB who are complicit on the issue. I guess I should have been more clear.

If you don’t pushback on the issue, you agree with it. You don’t get a free ride. I said the same about the NEB going along with Rinaldi’s extension. Deja vu.

Just wait a few years till the next election when they all say they were against it to get votes.

This cuss, discuss, get on the bus is how we got here, because no one wants to risk their position.

Except WE isn’t just NATCA. The FAA has to play ball. And if you think they will then there is no helping your level of willful ignorance.
It’s not about the FAA playing ball… kick the can down the road and negotiate when able. However when you have a party that just took a 1500 page bill and got it down to 150 pages… the unfortunate reality is I don’t want to play ball with that incoming administration

Elections have consequences.
JD wouldn't have extended.
And JD would’ve gotten wiped in negotiations

And JD would’ve gotten wiped in negotiations
Our current president isn’t even willing to attempt negotiations or go in front of congress for a hearing that directly relates to us.

I’ll take anyone who’s willing to fight for us over what we have now. JD could have learned how to negotiate and take care of business.

Instead we’re stuck with someone who lied straight to all of our faces just he so could be elected.

Then you know what? Get off your arse and get involved rather than bitching on an Internet forum… plenty of people who want to complain about what’s going on but don’t want to actually do anything about it.

Are you even an OJTI yet?

I hope the next 20 years of extensions treat you well in this career and you’re lucky enough to retire.
Ok? I’m fortunate to have this job as I come from a job before where I was actually overworked not paid OT and had longer weeks than the one I have here paying 1/4th what I am being paid now… sure everyone wants more money but does money solve any of these issues? No… staffing solves all of this some of us aren’t out chasing every damn dollar, some of us aren’t content with 40 hours and our base pay.

Did NDJH run on a bold faced lie? Sure… but the decision has been made getting up in arms on an Internet forum ain’t gonna solve it

Do you think the union president and FFA administrator sit down together, at a table, and just fire off requests to one another until they come to an agreement?
Use this logic with ND now? If you’re gonna use this argument you lose the ability to blame Nick lol. I don’t even care for Nick but this is a terrible argument

What are you talking about? There is a group of lawyers to negotiate back and forth to agree on a CBA. JD would’ve had the fucking balls to negotiate versus Nick hiding like a little bitch and extending versus trying to make things better.

Ah, the get involved line. Chef’s kiss.

Give it some years and you will have some perspective. While I certainly don’t believe this was the right decision, I sure hope it was for people in your shoes.

Get the fuck out of here with that shit. How about our representatives actually do what they say they’re doing to do and you know…represent us? That’s what the fuck I pay dues for.

I guess being truthful and honest with the members is just too much ask huh?

Jesus. Congrats?

But Tell that to the guy who didn’t win the facility lotto stuck at Nantucket or many of the others.

I’m sure they will be happy for you.
I’m asking you what does complaining on an Internet forum solve?

What dollar amount more would be sufficient to deal with these moronic schedules that our gracious locals just bent the knee to pre-ND? The fact of the matter is this profession could get a 30-50% raise and still complain across the board… until people realize the problem isn’t the money it’s the staffing which is solely an FAA issue then nothing will ever be solved

I just don’t care. I’m more than happy with my compensation
You’re clearly too fucking stupid to be a TRACON controller. You must be an enroute controller… Many people on here have gotten involved and seen the scam that the union has become since John Carr was voted out. One day, maybe your eyes will open and see that change needs to be made to make things better for all of us. Until then, try to make your crossing restrictions or you can expect an unable to your dumb ass approval requests

Under the original Trump EOs the FAA wouldn't even be allowed to negotiate on half of what is in our current contract. You are absolutely delusional if you think we would get a better contract under those EOs.
There has been no definitive talk of Trump imposing any EOs for his upcoming term. And unlike our POS prez Tricky Nick, Donald Trump is a lot of things, but he isn’t a blatant grifter. And here you (and others) are calling people delusional for refusing to believe anything else other than EOs are coming. It sounds more like hysteria to me because so far his cabinet actually doesn’t look too shabby when it comes to labor relations.
