Slate Book Extended Until 2029

Do you honestly think it would have been wise to try and negotiate a new contract with the Trump administration??? Im willing to bet your IQ is <80.
What amazing gains did the purple and light blue books get?

Imagine if the first unions said man this isn’t worth it these union busters really punch hard maybe we should wait until the ones who don’t punch as hard come around.

A union is about fighting for its members, when it’s hard it uses its collective knowledge and resources to come to the table more prepared.

I’m guessing an executive order saying you can not negotiate permissive subjects is not going to hold up by time it gets to our negotiations because they are permissive not
Prohibited.

A court already overturned those EOs but a higher court said it didn’t have jurisdiction and had to goto the FLRA first. So the only past president we can see is a court ruling these EOs weren’t legal.

You fight plain and simple.

My main argument against leaving the union is that it's one big fuck you to your local and anyone that's ever wasted their time on you. Although in all fairness, some of yalls locals aren't shit.

But it also looks like you just want to take your ball and go home. The union has avenues for change, you guys just seem salty that those changes didn't go your way. Or that they require work that amounts to more than asking JD to come save you.
Maybe most want to say “fuck you” to their local because they always simp for their RVP who always simps for national. At this point, at least at my facility, NATCA is a fucking cult from top to bottom.

The union has little avenues for change when they literally go behind their dues paying member’s backs to execute their own agenda. They gaslight those who take the fact that we are long overdue for a significant pay raise seriously. They ask for PAC money to bolster legislative activism but squander a good portion of it partying and living the roadshow life hitting conventions. They rubber stamp everything the agency does with NCEPT so we are all stuck with no hope for career progression. I would challenge you to go on the KSN and attempt to find the current revision of the decision lens agreement. (You can’t)

NATCA, as they pertain to representing their members for negotiating fair pay and working conditions is the shittiest Union I know of. They’re doing things that would outrage other unions if they understood what NATCA is doing.

So yes, fuck them! I’ll file my 1188 and they [NATCA] can shove it up their ass. I’d rather have that dues money to spend on my family at this point, not these cucks. There is more I would say, but that is my opinion of our joke of a union and I stand behind it.

Nick Daniels said during the town hall that extending wasn’t out of fear of negotiating with a Trump admin; he just kept blabbering on about it being “strategic.” You better go, the NEB is ready for their blowjob appointment from you and the rest of you cult fucks.

Quit being a pssy and put your name and facility on this. Fckin weak stick

My initial reaction to all of this, like many others here, is to just leave this union. I am really struggling with the decision. Part of me wants to just say fuck it and leave; the other part thinks that’s just what Nick wants, less vocal opposition. It’s hard to tell anyone that wants out to stay when it’s clear their voices are just being ignored.

Nick preaches unity, and to his credit, he has unified us… against him. That’s the one good thing I can take out of that town hall.

I don’t know if I’ll stay, but I know if I do, I will do anything in my power to stop this man from going against the desires of the membership. Maybe if there’s enough of us idiots out there that put our minds together, we can outsmart Nick’s huge brain.
Yeah the big downside of leaving the union is you don't have a vote in any of the elections or when it comes to ratifying a contract (if that ever happens)

Can't fault a single person for leaving the union because it is a joke. How many people have to leave before the Union would crumble and we could start again? Cause that might be the best chance

We should look into the manual dues payment. Does anyone know how that works?

ND referenced multiple times about changing procedures via amendments in the constitution at the convention. I’ve never been to the convention.. is it even possible to pass an amendment?

That's the problem with this "leave the union" shit. It doesn't matter how many people leave, NATCA is still the bargaining entity. Not paying dues is just a dirt bag personal decision. The real process (impeachment, decertification, etc) requires actual work outside of bitching.

Sure it's possible. But delegates are told how to vote and what will be voted on.

Apparently they hide behind voice votes.
