Slate Book Extended Until 2029

I thought you spoke well. I am disappointed in the whole thing, and don’t think he realizes the fallout.
Gotta love the MIA controller getting on there at the end of townhall #2 saying how thankful he was for the extension because he doesn’t want to sacrifice the 77 articles to get more pay.

Meanwhile controllers at mid-lower level facilities don’t have enough purchasing power to buy a 3 bedroom home.

Well, If nothing else, the zoom meetings about the extension are certainly spicy.

I must say, if you have some time to kill, at least show up for the Q and A portion, as the rest you can just read the slides.

I will give Nick credit for doing that, though it ends well before I think everyone gets to say their piece. Then again, it may take all night.
All the time in the world during the campaign

yeah if we said let’s give up abacus it would be a different tune

I’m shocked they haven’t filled the QA with plants. So I will give credit for that

They're are the people that start off with "I think I'm probably in the minority, I like the extension"

They are in the minority and this union is run by a bunch of scabs. Created by scabs for scabs
They weren’t there on day 1. Maybe he got some allies for day 2. I didn’t hear today

Yeah there were a handful today and they would just repeat the exact talking points Nick said in the beginning about how big of a win this is. It was also blatantly obvious which RVPs are fanboys of Nick. I hope that after this shit that none of those RVPs get reelected, but with everyone leaving the union they may just stay there sadly

You don't need plants after making a unilateral, irrevocable decision and signing the corresponding MOU. The turd sandwich has already been made and everyone has to take a bite or four.

Every elected cuck that is a member of the NEB is betting the flames will burn themselves out long before the next round of elections. And, as for those that quit the union? They clearly see that as a win-win. They'll be unable to vote in the elections and that will enable the boot lickers at all levels of the union to burrow-in.

Me? I'm a simple person. NATCA has told me (and demonstrated to me) that they hate me; I'm simple going to match the sentiment.

Oh yeah, that was painfully obvious. But silence is consent on the other board members.

Remember Nick said it in his campaign, since Mick and Rich were on the board when Rinaldi extended, they were part of it.

Well, so I guess they are all culpable. Except Jamaal, he’s still not ‘officially’ on the board….

I think this is something that the RVPs, that aren't straight up in Nick's camp, don't understand. Somehow Nick whipped the whole NEB in line to attempt to show a unified front.

Nick went around all the RVPs backs to sign an extension that everyone could see would result in a mass exodus. I'm sure Nick's close RVP 'brothers' had a heads up though.

If I was one of those RVPs and Nick didn't even give a heads up what he was doing and then tried to get me to agree with him in front of the pissed off membership I would be irate. I would go along with it and when its my turn to speak completely put him on blast. The whole point of having an NEB isn't to blindly do what the president tells you to. So they are all complacent in this

it’s clear the structure of NATCA is totally fucked up and the president has too much power. At least a required RVP vote would show some level of regional representation of the membership. Also the voting results should be public.
Eh the whole membership should have to vote on any MOU to extend/amend the contract date just like when it comes to ratifying a contract.

Speaking of ratifying a contract, by the time this one ends (if ever) most members probably won't even know they are supposed to vote to ratify or not any other contract offer

I agree. But we have a long space between dictator and everyone voting.

A couple of the RVPs continue to talk down to all of us, like we dont understand that negotiating during a Trump administration would be rough. We understand that, what we don't understand is why the Union is seemingly okay with a contract thats going to last almost 15 years with no meaningful changes, while the worklife and most importantly buying power, of the average member gets worse and worse. That is absolutely ridiculous.

Alaska and NWP in particular, are RVP's that should be targets next round of elections to get this NDJH faction out.

If people in 3 years want to step up and run in those regions or any others, I know how to set up web sites, send emails and all the likes and can help them navigate those portions.

I will make sure they don’t have to go it alone.
