#1. Pick the facility you want because of the area. If that's Midland, pick it.
#2. Midland is absolutely a facility that you'll be stuck at for at least 5 years. Probably more.
#3. Midland will provide an excellent knowledge base and skillset.
#4. Only pick Midland if you have a reason to. Not based on a whim.

ROA is a pretty cool area. I'm from the AVP area and just so happen to be friends with several controllers at AVP. The pay for the cost of living is really good once you CPC. 4 seasons... they are all living pretty.

Used to work with a guy who started at ROA. He didn’t have anything bad to say. City actually has a decent amount to do. The training success rate and NCEPT numbers look pretty good too. If you’re young, single, and don’t mind living a broke college lifestyle (high housing cost) STT might be the easiest facility with the fastest checkout.

You can’t though, check out time is like 2.5 years right lol? One of the last low level up/downs where they drag it out, expect a year or more training for both radar and tower.

I think STT has 1 runway and 2 taxiways. Has anyone ever washed out lol.

They had ASE, GGG, MLU, GTF, HTS, BIS, BUR, EVV, ROC and STT as the alternate. EVV and ROC fell off but not sure if anyone took STT
