Pretty sure the last class failed all but 1...
That's pretty damn sad if true.
That's why you don't go out and party while you're at the academy. If you want the job you gotta be all business.
I count 9 that passed on February 2nd.
Last terminal class had 9 pass. One prior to that was 6.
What? No way all but 1 failed a TERMINAL class. The pass rate is 83%.
It was 83%. Maybe I'm reading it wrong but they only have 3 spots reserved which is a hell of a lot less than they normally do.
Fiscal year 2016 ended with a 78% pass rate for terminal, so far 2017 isn't looking so hot.
What do you think the difference is? Did they change some things up or is it the selectees coming in?
To the best of my knowledge they have not changed the basic layout of the Terminal portion of the academy. Just a few bad classes to start the year.
Thanks for the insight.
No try were
11 for 18
Terminal class finished yesterday, 14/16 passed
Thanks! I also noticed in the chat you mentioned terminals been pretty bad lately. I am all cleared and just waiting for a class date. Has it been that way a while now or just the past couple of months?
It is a relatively recent trend. I would say the past 3-4 months, but I am not certain. Hopefully it turns around.
Thank you for the information!
The last two classes had 3 and 4 pass respectively. The FAA is pretty pissed and they have sent some executives down to watch the next two classes to figure out what's going wrong. The pass rate used to hover around 80% and it has been less than 30% 3 out of the last 4 classes. I am starting my PA's the 27th.
Is Enroute classes having the same issue or just terminal?
Good luck btw. I hope your class picks that rate back up!
Enroute is still around the same numbers, 40-60%. Last class had 9 out of 18. It seems that it's just terminal having issues. Some people are blaming the simulator computer for voice recognition problems.
