How dare you diss that facility, don’t you know it’s one of the only “space ports” in the US?Pretty sure you’re talking about me and I never mentioned my FacRep, but the facility??♂️

Furlough or no furlough I will sleep just fine, I will be financially good for a while. Everyone here knows how complex the system is, but not everyone feels the need to spread the doom and gloom on here all day.
Well the update mentioned 39 confirmed positive in the the Southern region since March 25. 17 cases still pending. So 400% increase in June equals ??♂️. That’s just one region but yes, 400% can make it seem larger than it is.A 400% increase is a lot larger than it sounds. There were probably 8 cases instead of 2
Yeah, doesn't make any sense to me why people want to live there so bad. But I think you're wrong in thinking people will always be able to pay. If their incomes are lost, they won't be able to pay up. All of these government interventions are greatly distorting the market in the short term. Not only the extra unemployment money, but the PPP "loans" and the whole your landlords/mortgage lenders can't evict you during the pandemic thing. Now Cuomo just introduced a new rent assistance program. None of these things are sustainable and will ultimately make the problem worse in the end. All of these things are very inflationary and are not letting prices drop at the moment, even though market forces would push them lower. People will have to take losses to get out from underneath their mortgages and the burden of high property taxes. Literally the only way that prices don't fall is that the Fed introduces UBI and runs $10+ trillion dollar deficits, in which case the dollar will become completely worthless and standards of living in America will fall off a cliff. There are no solutions to our problems that are pain free, though some are much more painful than others.See that’s the problem with this area. Demand far outweighs supply. There is always people who are willing and able to pay. Housing prices are actually up 8% on LI because so many people from the city decided after quarantine they want a backyard. Remember, 10% of the population of the US lives within 100 miles of NYC.
