Any 5/5 or 5/10 facility who is still on their normal operating hours won’t be affected by this new guidance. I’d be shocked if they mandated a National return to BWS any time soon especially since a lot of facilities are running a fraction of their pre-covid trafficI’m still not buying it for sure, we will see but lots of places are scheduled past then already, plus I talked to high end people this week as well and they were saying May or later for the final hammer to drop.
How sure are you on this?Any 5/5 or 5/10 facility who is still on their normal operating hours won’t be affected by this new guidance. I’d be shocked if they mandated a National return to BWS any time soon especially since a lot of facilities are running a fraction of their pre-covid traffic
Everything’s a fraction. But air travel is certainly trending up and will Increase more and make from spring break one. Southwest is planning 80% of 2019 levels for this spring/summer. And 2019 was the most passengers ever.Any 5/5 or 5/10 facility who is still on their normal operating hours won’t be affected by this new guidance. I’d be shocked if they mandated a National return to BWS any time soon especially since a lot of facilities are running a fraction of their pre-covid traffic
OK, thanks for clarifying, I wish the other guy would have specified this or mentioned that the real edict is to return facilities who had hours cut to regular operating hours. Which is a good move NATCA should support, that will help protect jobs just as much as a blanket return to BWS mandate.Any 5/5 or 5/10 facility who is still on their normal operating hours won’t be affected by this new guidance. re: staffing levels, my tower is running about 950 ops a day from last year 1850 a day for this time.OK, thanks for clarifying, I wish the other guy would have specified this or mentioned that the real edict is to return facilities who had hours cut to regular operating hours. Towers have assists?re: staffing levels, my tower is running about 950 ops a day from last year 1850 a day for this time.
once we crack 1500 the management is gonna want assists open, once we crack 1800 during summer they will want a third ground and local split off.
my point it we are gonna be back on 6/1 as soon as BWS resumes in PP8. We have been training and have certified three people since November, another three in the next month or so.
i dont think so...Is that allowed
I’m just going on logic here. Any facility who never cut their hours to begin with won’t be affected by a mandate to return to normal hours. i.e. any 24/7 facility on 5/5 can still expect to stay 5/5 until some other guidance comes outHow sure are you on this?
I guess I should have just said “sauce”. I understand what you said.I’m just going on logic here. Completely agree. At least at my tower the general consensus is that 5/5 won’t last through the spring for the same reasons. The demand for travel is going to be thereEverything’s a fraction. But air travel is certainly trending up and will Increase more and make from spring break one. Southwest is planning 80% of 2019 levels for this spring/summer. And 2019 was the most passengers ever.
That's good to hear, they must all be in natca. We have been training and have certified three people since November, another three in the next month or so.
I mostly agree with you brother, but it is hard for someone to max it out as a AG or even a CPC at a Level 5. But every controller in the Agency should be contributing at least $10 while being a new trainee, and $20 as CPC as a low level $40 at a 10 or higher. Also drives me nuts when a level 11 or 12 picks up or gets stuck with a low level controller who comes in thought NCEPT, then does not up their PAC to go with the 30K 50% on the go raise they just got. The union helped get you there, you should increase it generously in that situation.Anyone who isnt maxing out their PAC has no grounds to an opinion on anything, including training. They are less than pond scum to us true fraternal Union men and women.

He should get all of it back, we have a rep in there fighting for him right. Sounds like he's even earned a promotionAgree. Very ungrateful. In this day and age cant expect much more from these Millenial kids sadly.
A trainee at my facility literally went home crying the other day because he was given a separation error. Lol said that since training order hasnt been followed during the plague that he was gonna get all his hours back.

This is for real, I think everyone should be in the PAC it does amazing things. Not max it out, especially not at first, but if you do get a promotion to higher facilities you should adjust it proportional. Is this satire or IRL
After totally showing they have zero pull on covid vaccines. No thanks. This is for real, I think everyone should be in the PAC it does amazing things. Not max it out, especially not at first, but if you do get a promotion to higher facilities you should adjust it proportional.
