Yeah when my career isn’t being screwed over.

Well then that means no. Your career will always be screwed over in one way or another.
Did you know there was a law passed in the early 90s that was designed to keep federal pay in line with the private sector, and that were we following that law we would all get about a 25% raise? Instead, every year, every president implements an alt pay plan. How much money have we all lost due to that shit? How screwed over are we because of that?
And then of course there's the constant threat of furloughs, shutdowns, privatization. There's that end of fiscal year loss of CIP. Etc, etc.

That sounds like a CPC level of bitching. We out here training, selling ourselves on the corner for cheeseburgers trying to make ends meet.

We get all the regular screw overs also. Like gov Shutdown. At least during the shutdown we could have an idea when it would open up. Also we could train during the shutdown.

I think you missed my point. Wasn't to compare CPC problems to trainee problems, but just a note that we can't pretend the "bitching" ends when this one thing is over.

"Do you ever not bitch about something?"
"Yeah when my career isn’t being screwed over."

This isn’t like a little quality of life thing.

If you think we are underpaid compared to our private counterparts you are insane and not paying attention to the outside world.
We make way more than what is required to be fully vested plus all the benefits and extras we get.
Get the fuck out underpaid. I am not a best job in the world but seriously? Wow. We top out at 197 if lucky enough to be at a level 12 and 100 k at most other places Not including differentials.

From the Technical Training Contingency Plan:

“Trainees currently in classroom training or ready to begin classroom training will participate in training 4 hours per day, 4 days per work week, to include appropriate breaks. The remaining duty hours per day will be used for self-study of LOAs, maps, practice applications, etc.

1b) When not participating in classroom training, trainees may be assigned eLMS training, including but not limited to web-based recurrent training, other computer- based training, ASH /SAVI, etc.”

Expect this at centers I would assume.
We all know that one guy that's going to claim they don't have internet for zoom classes and needs the Agency to flip the bill.

I'm not paying attention? Really? I mean I've been aware of these numbers for at least 5 years, and you clearly have no clue what I'm referring to, so I'm pretty sure it's you who isn't paying attention:

It doesn't really matter what I think on the subject of whether we're underpaid:

Key quote, which basically mirrors what has been said for years under multiple administrations (I've personally been aware of it since Obama was in office): "Had Trump not acted by Friday, federal workers would have received an automatic across-the-board pay increase of 2.1 percent and locality pay increases averaging 25.7 percent under the 1990 Federal Employees Pay Comparability Act, according to the letter."

Personally that works out to over 20K/year, or 600K over my career, not factoring other increases that would substantially add to it. Technically speaking then, we're underpaid by an average of 25.7%.

And yes, I'm aware of the article itself saying we make more than private sector, but there are multiple studies to choose from when it comes to that determination, and the one used to legally determine it would have us see 25% raises.

I’ve been paying attention. And I’m fine with them acting on that. Because we make a ton to only work 4 damn hours a day. Yes I would take the money but geez 25 percent raise would be ridiculous and uncalled for and that’s why they act. So deal with it is what I say. And boo hoo.
