So am I understanding it’s being rumored there will be Sim training next week? It’s now Thursday at the earliest they’re planning to tell people to show up on Monday? A FACREP I know (not my current one) said there’s not a chance in hell. Could be local to him but I’d be shocked as well

Next week to the faa means. Well maybe Friday and since it’s Friday let’s call it the following Monday. Also maybe faa is sick of all of NATCAs workgroups ?

I mean, “next week” could mean any time between M-F. They very well could call people on Tuesday or Wednesday and say come back on Friday.

I don’t need multiple weeks notice but pretty shitty if it’s less than a week. Anyone with kids needs time to arrange things since they’ve likely pulled them from daycare or whatever. Gonna be pointless when everyone has to burn leave to arrange things

My OM made it sound like you’ll be brought back in the order we are ready for. Starting with CPCs who need things like recerts.

They could but why? What’s that going to accomplish? Pretty ridiculous to expect people to turn on a dime and get their life rearranged in a couple days after almost FIVE MONTHS off

Yeah that sucks but the FAAs line has always been that you’re recallable while on admin leave so they’ll say you should have had that squared away.

Also, I don’t believe I’m owed any favors from the FAA and absolutely people are recallable at their whim, but it’s people you have to work with, being a douche isn’t in their best interest (yes I know Welcome to the FAA blah blah blah)

I’m not over here trying to make the agency’s argument. Just saying what they are gonna say. I imagine you can play the “I didn’t get the call” card for a couple days before they send someone to do a welfare check.

They’ve actually talked about making CPCs teach zoom classes at smaller facilities.

Hell yeah! I’ll do all the zoom classes they want if I get to sit at home for 4 months.
