My understanding is facilities must still send up a plan to on high and have enough PSS in the building prior to OJT. I am hoping that my facility will start classes earlier since we can easily socially distance in a conference room.

From the big email:

In collaboration with the Union, the Agency has authorized the resumption of OJT for employees currently in training and assigned a crew and presently working in the facility. After a sufficient inventory of the Personal Safety Supplies (PSS) as specified in the Operational Readiness Workforce Plan and OJT Resumption Plan has been received, the parties at the local level will submit a collaborative request to resume OJT to the GM/ARVP confirming the facility possesses the necessary PSS for employees. Once verified and approved, the facility will resume OJT for employees currently in training and that are assigned a crew and presently working in the facility.

Still faa? Thought that was only at academy lol. Always been retired controllers seems like, but working for Raytheon/SAIC.

I think WAY back when the academy thing used to be an FAA job - at least the leads were. They aren’t hired that way anymore but there are still some leftovers. I’m sure some facilities are the same way. Every facility has its own mixed bag anyways

Then you are going back to 5/2, some places already are, some are still 5/10, it will be a facility by facility thing.

Doesn’t the new training plan say you can’t come off 5/5 solely to accomplish training. Like if you’re already off it then you can and you can make training work within 5/5 but you can’t change because of it.

It says to come up with a training plan on the current schedule. So I guess so. Idk man, my ATM has been trying to go to regular schedule with no OT ever since we started 5/5. Our BWS MOU would call for 6/1 every week. She’s trying no cancel our OT and not have us on 5/5. So she’s drooling at this lol

Ours is proposing back to BWS from 5/5 for training.

Training resuming itself is not an immediate forced return to 5/2. But if you cannot accomplish meaningful training on 5/5 or 5/10, plan to get off the gravy train.
