Are we in bizzaro world? Everything by was shut down when trump was president

Yeah…. But the actual implementation of shutdowns, stay-at-home orders, and other restrictions were made by state governors.

The federal government provided national guidelines and suggestions.

In other news, I got into a fender bender when Trump was president. I can’t believe that orange fuck made the idiot behind me text while driving.

Bro trump did 2 weeks to slow the spread and sent everyone home. Stop trying to rewrite history. We literally got sent home. Do you not remember 5 and 5?

It’s the dem governors fault they listened to trumps guidelines.

You are the walking epitome of a “facepalm.”

These are merely GUIDELINES… The federal government was responsible for travel restrictions, CDC guidelines, and then under Dementia Joe, the unconstitutional vaccine mandates.

The state and local levels were responsible for stay at home orders, school closures, mask mandates, and business restrictions.

This is exactly how we saw the massive variance between states’ responses and precisely why people were flocking to places like Florida for vacations to escape the tyranny of their blue state idiocy.

Bro his guidelines say to stay home. Then people follow them and you said trumps got nothing to do with it. That’s insane. Trump did 2 weeks to slow the spread. Trump
Approved the vaccine. Trump put fauchi in charge of Covid task force. Trump signed the first two stimulus. Trump
Signed PPP. It was all trump. PPP was literally so the economy could stay shut down.

What’s the point of that question? What do you gain? All I said I want 5 and 5 back
It’s just fun question. Since 5 and 5 isn’t coming back it’s like just a question to pass time.

I mean, just for full clarity it says "if you're sick". It doesn't say to avoid anything and everything nonessential.

For the record, under the Trump administration, we *were* required to wear masks in the workplace. Between that and 5/5 or 5/10, it seems his administration thought the CDC was onto something.

Reality is, Covid was a real thing. Killed about 1% of people who got it.

Whether anyone thinks that's bad or not... whatever.

But I am confident that those who came out swinging "you're all a bunch of sheep" would've kept their tune if the mortality rate was 15 times higher.

No the bottom says to work from home
Not to eat out and not to travel.

Which means stay home.

But the people cut that part out lol

Im not saying if it was right or wrong. I’m responding to people
trying to act like trump wasn’t president when all this happened.

Again…Guidelines.. meaning they were a choice.

Tell us what your thoughts are on the vaccine mandate. What are your thoughts on forced closure of small businesses while large corporations were somehow deemed “essential” and allowed to stay open… none of which happened because of Trump.

No im not engaging with you. I’m just saying you’re clueless if you don’t think Covid happened under trump. What’s even your point? People shouldn’t have followed his guidelines? His guidelines were to stay the fuck home

Feeerla agencies were closed and working from home. National Parks were closed. Everything he was in charge of was closed or reduced. He was the president. He was in charge.

If you show me anywhere where I’ve insinuated that Covid didn’t happen under Trump, I will literally Venmo you my next paycheck

It’s like your brain can’t comprehend the words you are reading. Not worth my time. Peace.

I wasn’t even responding to you. You started responding to me. MAGA people can’t comprehend the population remembers what it was like having trump as president

Yeah it was great. Gas was cheap. Interest rates were low. People were working. Isis was getting fucked up. Chicks didn’t have dicks.

Ahhh the good ol days.
Lol you think the president sets the gas prices. Makes sense. Isis was getting fucked up. What even?? Bidens literally destroyed the Russian military but it’s crickets.

I believe the conservative matra for things like this goes something along the lines of: "if you don't like it, get another job."

Not my personal take on it, but just sayin.

But wait, the mask mandate we were subject to under Trump... that's okay now or no? Cause I recall a lot of outrage about masks. He was draconian, too, then, right?

Pretty confident your insinuation is that Trump had nothing to do with the handling of Covid--- that it was all the states doing. He just put out a little guideline pamphlet and went back to golfing, badabing badaboom.

So effectively, any economic woes during the pandemic portion of Trump's presidency had nothing to do with him, I guess. It was all on the states.

But I bet you're not giving Biden the same leeway.

No that is not my insinuation whatsoever. I don’t agree with everything Trump did during the pandemic. But what he did do right was defer to the states and local governments to make their own decisions. Similarly, it should’ve been the right of any private business to make their own decisions.

It’s the difference between suggestion and mandating. And what do you mean “the mask mandate we were subject to under Trump”? There was no such thing as a de facto Trump mask mandate just like there was no Biden mask mandate. Any mask mandates were formulated and enforced by state/local levels, private entities and businesses. The federal government did selectively mandate masks in certain domains under its control like public transportation and facilities with federal employees… but there was no such thing as a nationwide mask mandate under either president.

My harshest criticisms have to do with the leaders who forced the hands of businesses and individuals to make decisions against their will. The most obvious being the forced vaccine.

“If you don’t like it, get another job” is an adequate way to handle something petty such as not liking your coworkers or thinking the commute is a bit too far… but there’s a reason vaccine mandates were killed in the courts. I believe the liberal mantra for this is “my body my choice.”

The extent of vaccine mandates only ever reached as far as mask mandates.

I.E, Trump admin required us to wear masks, Biden admin required us to get vaccinated. The latter was not upheld.

Biden did propose a mandate for large employers outside the federal workforce, but it expressly offered a "choice" of weekly testing.

Glad you think "if you don't like it, get another job" should be reserved for petty grievances, because it was being used by other conservatives when we were literally having our pay withheld. Also used for management belittling us, also used for the gross absense of pay raises in light of skyrocketing prices.

Ultimately I agree with the overturning of vaccine mandates. Then I hope too we're on the same page when it comes to "my body, my choice."

Bro what are you on, “choice”?
I was explicitly told get the vax or face administrative action up to and including termination December of 2021. The choice was with a gun pointed to your head
