Wouldn’t NATCA want to protect its members medical privacy rights? My understanding is the FAA wanted the ability to verify. Maybe NATCA should of let them so we all could’ve gotten color coded arm bands to decipher who is vaccinated.

Ground breaking stuff! Yes, you absolutely have to disclose pertinent medical information to the flight surgeon. That’s kind of why that office exists. On the other hand, there is a very limited scope to how management can obtain medical information from its employees. You know, HIPAA law and all.

Every time you call in to management and say “show me on sick leave.” Every time you’re DQ’d and meandering around the building. Every time someone called in and said they had a close encounter with COVID. And now, when you walk into your facility mask less…you are afforded some form of medical protection. Thank you NATCA ?
