Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-22-ATCEXP-76330

Haha same! But my dumb self didn't have a plan, so I renlisted, one year into reenlistment, I realized the mistake I made. Now, after 10 years of active, I'm separating.
Lol this sounds familiar, I just got out at the 10 year mark a couple months ago, never felt better!!

Just finished all appointments last week. Already got security clearance. Do I just wait for a list now or am I supposed to get a confirmation email stating they’ve received all my paperwork?

One more question if they give you a list and you reject that list do you get another one or do you just have to wait for the next bid?

I've heard that you have to apply on another bid, but they have your paperwork on file so kind of in limbo...

I have a co-worker right now who is a civilian, never worked for the FAA, and applied on a prior exp bid in '19. He just had lunch with a local airport NATCA rep. The NATCA rep asked him an ATC question....

"If you have aircraft A on an ILS 3 mile final, and aircraft B on an ILS 7 mile final, can you tell aircraft A to make a 360 to follow aircraft B...."

He said no, and the NATCA rep said, "phew, thank God, the last 2 people I interviewed said yes, when can you start?"

SOOO, find you a NATCA rep and buy them lunch and answer a few questions and BOOM! Hired. lol

If you turn down your facility you will be removed from the hiring process and will have to reapply. Your clearances are good for two years (drug test is only good for 6 months) and you may have to do a security refresher but the process will be much faster the second time.

How confident was your HR rep about the end of the month timeline for lists? I’m getting impatient
