do they also send the letters again to your previous employers if theyve filled it out before? Not if they have them on file already.

No idea.do they also send the letters again to your previous employers if theyve filled it out before?
Just had a "refresh" and had to do fingerprints. For those of you that have had to “refresh” your security clearances, what does the process entail?
You don’t have to redo your fingerprints right?
How does the security clearance refresh work with receiving a class date?Just had a "refresh" and had to do fingerprints.
Are you refreshing your security as well?do they also send the letters again to your previous employers if theyve filled it out before?
Correct me if I’m wrong…but, doesn’t everyone do the SF86 now? I’m not sure they use that for public trust clearances.Terminal to enroute is no academy. But you will need a new security clearance.
Why do you need a new security clearance? Not moving to Enroute… ever…just curious. I already have a secret clearance in terminal.Terminal to enroute is no academy. But you will need a new security clearance.
I think I remember doing an SF86 but could be confusing it with the hiring process for a different job while I was in the process for the FAA.Correct me if I’m wrong…but, doesn’t everyone do the SF86 now? I’m not sure they use that for public trust clearances.
Terminal is public trust and enroute is secretWhy do you need a new security clearance? Not moving to Enroute… ever…just curious. I already have a secret clearance in terminal.
As a controller yes. There are some other support specialist type jobs at centers that are Top Secret.Terminal is public trust and enroute is secret
I am in terminal and have secret. Might be because I am a relatively new hire. Who knows.Terminal is public trust and enroute is secret
Is it around DC? Idk maybe it’s different now.I am in terminal and have secret. Might be because I am a relatively new hire. Who knows.
My understanding has been enroute and tracon only facilities require secret security clearances due to the fact that for presidential and high ranking state ops, secret service cannot be present at each facilty. Up/downs there is a security detail physically present. Or at least that's what I was told when I got hired on. Then again may have changed in recent years. Is it around DC? A year ago I had to renew my SF-85P, second time filling one out…first time was my pre-employment almost 10 years ago. One of the questions on the renewal was “What level security clearance do you hold?” Needing clarification I called the POC listed…she told me “technically you don’t have a security clearance in the Public Trust Position you hold.”My understanding has been enroute and tracon only facilities require secret security clearances due to the fact that for presidential and high ranking state ops, secret service cannot be present at each facilty. When you fill out the security stuff on e-Qip, you should answer the question with whatever your marital status is at the time. There’s a comment section where you can explain your situation.Applied for this most recent experience bid and am keeping my fingers crossed for a TOL. I've been told the security process can be lengthy so I've been reading through this thread to try to get some stuff together beforehand, and I have a question.
I'm in the process of getting divorced and remarrying next year - long story, lengthy divorce, it's a whole thing, blah blah blah - and am wondering about the marital status section. If I complete the form before everything is finalized should I just fill everything out as is and roll with it? I don't want to put filling it out off until I am remarried to get my spouse on there but I would hate for that to be the reason I'm held up.
Might be just me, but when I date someone I'm usually "bound by affection and common interests" to them.I dated a guy from Australia
How long until you got cleared from the time of your zoom interview? You will be okay, I have extensive travel out of the country, including living abroad and am also married to a non-US citizen. Be prepared to put in legwork as your security questionnaire will require you to list all the dates you have ever been out of the country (in the last 7 or 10 years.) You will also most likely be singled out for a zoom video call with a special agent who will have you send copies of every passport page of every passport you have ever owned. Be prepared to answer questions concerning anyone who you have contact with on more than an acquaintance level that is not living in the US, such as their current occupation and level of involvement with foreign government. Also be prepared to list any foreign assets you have ever owned including any foreign bank accounts you have ever had access to and may have forgotten about from years back. My video interview was about 2.5 hours. Just start gathering all your info from travel outside the US now to get ahead of the ball. They aren't looking to disqualify you for life outside the US; you will just be looked at more closely.
I had my zoom call on Feb 20th 2021 and received word I was fully cleared on Oct 11th 2021.How long until you got cleared from the time of your zoom interview?
