CRWG

Well considering staffing is the hot topic and we're in the CRWG thread, I'd assume they're lobbying for more staffing. But that's obviously a crazy guess.
Funny story.... staffing and... staffing annnnnd... CRWG numbers! And yes, staffers were all super casual bc there bosses were all out of town. Which honestly probably made it easier to get meetings, bc there was less competition.

It sounds easy, but most of the attendees used bidded leave to attend which couldn’t have been changed easily. Hotel blocks were secured. Venues were booked. It was either have it on the scheduled dates, or cancel it.
Sounds more like a photo op then. They should probably go in smaller groups all throughout the year anyways

Where are you people even getting that it wasn't in session?
The Congress calendar shows it was and that bills were introduced. The dates for NATCA in Washington were May 2-4, 2023 which is when Congress was in session.
The e-mail that NATCA sent out shows they were meeting with Senators and Representatives.
Some of you just run your mouths nonstop without looking into anything. Even better when certain people here have a fix for literally every problem in the NAS but the farthest they'll go to actually trying to fix anything is whining on this forum.

It would be cool if they let us know!
Did you not have someone from your fac attend? Just like everyone else was saying, their major topic was our staffing issue. Our rep that went was more than welcome to tell anyone what exactly they discussed but it sounds like some facilities aren't that lucky to have people as transparent

We get zero info. And the national emails are just like we meet to talk about stuff

The House was not in session. I really didn’t think I would have to mic drop this, but here we are.

CoffeeIV just say you don’t know what a pro forma session is. It’s okay.

If you click the link I posted. It shows that the Senate was in session and shows what motions were done that day. Like this one. It also shows that the House was NOT session.

The House is half of congress. The Senate is the other half. I appreciate the mic drop to come at me for whatever reason.

Hey I was just acting outraged based on what he said. Don’t look at me.

Nope I dont know what a pro forma session is. But I do know the Senate was in session and voted.

Straight form the header: "The House was not in session today. Its next meeting will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 11 a.m."

Edit: Educated myself on what a pro form session is. Good thing the Senate didn't have one lol.

Lol did you see the email just sent our? Yes the FAA published new CRWG as a part of the CWP but only as an appendix because the FAA does not intend to use the numbers to increase hiring. 🤣 You can't make this up.
If this isn’t the biggest slap in the face to the union and embarrassment I don’t know what is. All this collaboration what is it even for…still cheaper to pay overtime I guess maybe that’s what they determined.

NATCA already got their win they “tried” to make a change lol. NATCA has gotten so good at making it look like they are fighting for their member when all they do is get thrown bread crumbs from the FAA it’s hilarious.

I don’t think it means those numbers won’t one day be used, it means it’s another step in the process. The goal at NIW according to the email was to secure legislation making the FAA use those new numbers, that was not going to happen in less than a week. At least we know what the numbers are now.
