Has anyone resigned from FAA and gotten rehired?

Maybe it's regional? Honest question.
Region is not involved with prior experience bids, it's all done through HR in OKC. I'd imagine reinstatement is the same but not sure.

The only thing I could think is bad character reference because they reach out to your previous facility. Luckily my supervisor that I had a good relationship with became acting ATM just after I left. The ATM that retired just before would probably have bad things to say about any CPC that quit.

So if hired for an OTS bid in the past and resigned, would i be allowed re-apply with the age still locked in?
Your original SF-50 would be needed to prove your "appointment" to the 2152 series prior to 31, also (not trying to be an asshole) if you do not have any certifications (actively issuing control instructions)/CPC status, your odds of being rehired are extremely low. Prior experience bids would be your best way forward if you have certifications.

I agree. Doesn't hurt to try, but worked for me. I however resigned after the white book change, hired before it and may have been a factor. I was 29 initially and 38 when rehired. Went back to original facility I resigned from. Yes, it was awkward as F, but turned out to be a blessing.

Can’t imagine anyone but management would hold it against ya.

It’s not all done through HR, the ATO is involved as well. For prior exp bids, some CPC reinstatement rules applied. No facility lists if you’re inside of one year separating. Old facility offered only. This came directly from the ATO when I asked why I wasn’t given a list

Any updates on what lists have looked like for CPCs who resigned and sat out a year? Are they forcing those controllers back to the previous facility?

Still in Tier 2 land here, not really worried, did DOD then jumped into an HQ job.

I'm curious to see what lists are gonna look like in general. Finally fully cleared a couple weeks ago after sitting in medical purgatory for a while.

congrats! hoping to hear something on my medical. they've been really quiet since late march ☠️

There is a reinstatement SOP. It’s all laid out how it works. Once you wait a year you are offered like type facilities only and ingrade or downgrade.

Correct, it recently it seems they are not following the SOP when it comes to certain individuals.

My question is, does this only apply to people asking to be reinstated, or does it also apply to people that apply to the prior experience bid that comes out once a year? If a former FAA CPC applies to the prior experience bid, would they get a normal list that someone with their respective experience level would get?

This is not the first post regarding reinstatements. There's been several cases including my own where even OUTSIDE 12 months, they only offer you your last facility even when applying to a prior exp bid. Is it always going to be like that even after 2-3 years every time you apply? Who knows, they seem to be doing whatever they want
