2024 Pay Calendar and Pay Tables

Increase pay for people working higher level traffic than they’re being paid for? Figures you’re against it
NATCA can’t negotiate pay bands above the pay cap. Everyone needs a raise. And if you’re at the cap there’s not many that are going to feel sorry for you. You just down right sounds greedy AF.

The fuck? Plenty of controllers at those facilities aren’t making anywhere near the pay cap. And if they’re working traffic above their level then they deserve their raise. Jesus Christ, pocket watching other controllers out of jealousy is pathetic.

Agreed if not at federal cap. Lots of talk about federal pay cap wanting more if you read different threads.
There are issues at a lower levels not making decent enough money to afford a house let alone even think about maxing TSP. This career is very different depending where you end up or get stuck possible 10-15 years that has a huge effect on what kind of retirement people are looking at. They shouldn’t be penalized by bad hiring and policies. All need a raise that’s NATCA negotiated above this 1.6.
In your scenario if at top of pay and that takes a long ass while NATCA raises are payouts and January added to base pay. I would hope you are being critical of NATCA and their stagnant stance since 2019 when it got extended the first time.

Whether or not NATCA has done enough on pay (they haven’t) or if they should have extended the contract without even polling the bargaining unit (they shouldn’t have), if they have been working on getting controllers pay/benefits that they are ENTITLED to under the contract is absolutely something they need to be doing.

Anyway, that entire Reddit thread was nonsense, it said that the NEB had somehow negotiated upgrades to 5 centers and that Nick Daniels had somehow blocked it. I don’t know how he would somehow have the ability to block those raises from happening, but it would have been hard to run for president when every controller at those 5 centers would have run him down in the parking lot before voting for him.

Sounds about natca. Increase pay for already some of the highest paid air traffic controllers while shit on everyone stuck at low level facilities making jack shit.
The Zs have not properly participated in Appendix A in a decade. The only reasonable critique here is “what in the actual fuck took so long!?”
But shocker, boots is mad the union is trying to right a wrong that doesn’t effect him. Can’t believe 32 didn’t jump on board, he must work at one of the 5.

It’s amazing the power that an individual on the NEB board has sometimes….

If it comes to blocking a raise for centers one person stops the show (Nick).

If it comes to approving a contract extension, well, we had no power whatsoever. (SANTA)

It’s comical!

It’s definitely wrong. These workers deserve more than 200k!

R u for real I think everyone in the nas should get the max

I just wish the NCEPT dumpster fire was fixed. That’s hurt my career progression more than anything
Agreed. I WANT to go somewhere else to mainly work busier traffic & obviously make more money but I can't. I'm stuck at a level 7 working 6 days a week every single week.

I've thought if I got desperate enough, I'll put in paperwork into A80 or N90 but is it even worth it at this point? At least my level 7 still gets a steady stream of trainees. And doesn't A80 get like 1 person every 4 months through ncept? Wtf??

Well, bringing it back to pay: my facility was separated from the RUS and only got an additional 0.31% added to locality. Meanwhile, houses here doubled and some even tripled in price since 2019. Morale has been pretty low since finding that out. Big shout out to NATCA for literally doing nothing about pay tho. Oh, I guess besides that 20% temporary increase OJTI pay that I will never actually get to benefit from since my facility is so short I can't even get an OJTI class to start training. Anyone got other career ideas for me? I'm tired of this lol

They quite literally do. The only controllers who aren't getting paid what they deserve to be getting paid via our pay bands are people who are capped out, and facilities that haven't been increased in level when they should be. Yes there are lots of people in low level facilities that get paid a lot less, but they're making what they are contractually supposed to be making. Complaining about people who are getting screwed out of their rightful salaries because of jealousy is sad.

Run for Executive Vice President. You’re going against Jamal (who isn’t a certified OJTI rumor has it) and Mick (who hasn’t keyed a mic in 5 years). You have more in common with the common controller than they do.

Message me and I will nominate you.

Your good with this right?

4. The following certification, completed, signed, and dated by the nominee:

“I hereby accept the nomination for the office of ______________. I certify that I am
not now, nor have been for the past 13 years, convicted of or served any part of a
prison term resulting from conviction of robbery, bribery, extortion, embezzlement,
grand larceny, burglary, arson, violation of narcotics laws, murder, rape, assault with
intent to kill, assault which inflicts grievous bodily injury, or violation of Title II or III
of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959, as amended, or
conspiracy to commit any such crime.”

Capped out….they are lucky and do in fact get a raise to base each January. Only NATCA raise is paid out at that level.
Regarding the traffic increase and level change hasn’t came I’m pretty sure everyone agrees with that.
You obviously didn’t watch the video in which Mick Devine said NATCA dropped the ball on all of the 4,5,&6 facilities and that the pay bands are wrong and they have yet to fix things since 2016. I don’t know how much they are off but it’s plain disgusting. They are worthless.
