Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-17-ALLSRCE-53474

Yeah I just tried the same thing and she didn't have anything to tell me. I'm taking my drug test and physical on Monday, and she said expect to wait 2-4 months after that to hear anything else.

Thanks for letting us know, gives me a time frame. I'm in the same boat, medical tomorrow and drug test Monday.

I was told the same thing. The 2-4 month response time is probably historically accurate, but this round, it seems to take closer to 1 month. Who knows, things are always changing.

No, I also emailed medical for an update on their end, specifically the MMPI since it appears people are getting Tier 2'd. Surely wasn't expecting the response I got.

It is the 9-avs email
I just emailed that address asking about my results to my MMPI and I got this in response

“There is another level of evaluation that is required to be completed for the Medical Clearance determination that is still pending, and you will be contacted when it is complete.”

Any idea what they are talking about?

That doesn't sound good... Sounds tier 2

Email sent out asking status on clearances. Haven’t heard anything so far, so that’s good. Fingers crossed...

I’m hoping they are just talking about the actual medical appointment. I have still not done that yet, still waiting to be contacted. Day 16 now.

From what I remember seeing, I think your MMPI is part of your medical clearance. Possibly why you got that response. I don’t think they’d give you your MMPI clearance on its own. I don’t know for sure, but I haven’t seen that response you got anywhere else on here before.

I responded asking if the response they gave me was because I haven’t actually had my medical appointment yet and then they responded with

“No this has to do with your MMPI results. That is all part of our process to complete you medical clearance. ”

Not sure if that means I’m tied 2 or not?

I asked for my mmpi results and I got an immediate response from them that I passed

Well.. In that case, hope it’s a clarification issues and not tier 2.

For reference, quitting or withdrawing are viewed as the same in the eyes of the FAA. They're all recorded as training failures.

Hello everyone,

New to this very helpful forum. I was at the academy a few years back for enroute and resigned after my first radar eval (needed 2 98's on my last 2 runs to pass - but that's another conversation). Figured I'd give it another shot and re-applied for this bid and got another TOL & CIL for enroute.

What's got me even more confused is that the ketones they are testing can be there as a result of low insulin. But they can also be there when your body is in ketosis, from eating a low carb diet. But carbs and sugar increase your blood sugar levels. So what they heck is a guy supposed to do?
Usually diabetes means you don't handle insulin properly, I eat a Keto diet and my tests were fine
