It's all direct deposit. Pay period beings on a Sunday. Sorry not much help beyond that. Not sure when you will get your first payday

Direct deposit is fine by me! As long as I get the per diem and my salary I'm good, just curious if anyone knew when it started so I could plan accordingly with my soon to be previous job.

Can someone help me out with the pay frequency at the academy? I know it's bi-weekly but I can't figure out when a pay period starts, if my day to report is on a Wednesday obviously my first check won't be a full paycheck. Will they cut me a one week check or wait until the next pay to give me a check?

Per diem isn’t in your check. You have to file paperwork with finance for that.

I think it’s because I applied under the having enough employment history category. But, for some reasons they didn’t count some of my part time work. They probably figured this out when pushing out my CIL. So, I was asked for my degree instead.
I applied under the same category.

Actually I know 2 people who failed enroute and both received TOLs for tower this bid. However, I didn’t think you could get back into enroute.

Per the letter of the law, you cannot go back for either. They have the potential to fall through the cracks, but if HR discovers their error, their TOL's will be rescinded.

Luckily with how little one hand knows what another is doing in the faa, that probably won’t happen. Can be so frustrating sometimes but in cases like this works to your advantage. Bravo lol

Wouldn’t they have to list the FAA academy on their work history for the application and background? Haha

David just as a follow up I highly doubt that job you where let go from after 3 months is the issue. I know people who where fired as RPO's from the MMAC and came back as students.

At this point I've gone through 1000 scenarios and I honestly can't come up with one good reason why it was denied for now. Again no financial problems, arrests, personal conduct of any kind, social media is fine, manager filled out the form saying good things and circled yes for should I get a security clearance. They never contacted any of my references. Never emailed me asking for extra info about anything. So I'll be very interested tomorrow to see what in the actual hell is going on.

So I need to provide more information on a couple past debts that have gone to collections. I am going to pay one off but cannot afford the other one at this time. Has anyone else been in this situation or know how I should go about resolving the issue. I've read people setting up payment plans and just sending documentation to their POC that they are making payments, is that my best option?
It seems that that may be what they’re looking for. I had to send a letter explaining all my debts with proof...I have a couple discrepancies but my debt was still considered too much. I got a call from my rep and basically had to talk to her about it. Idk what your situation was but I told her the truth about mine and basically how I had accrued so much. My transition from the military among a few other personal reasons...it was nerve wracking especially since I was still over the debt limit which I believe she said was around $7500 ?! if I can remember correctly...she explained to me that she understood my personal situation but that I would have to or should call and set up some type of payment arrangements for my debts even if it was small and obviously try and remove whatever was on my record that was not correct. I’m not sure if your debt is less then $7500 or more but I’d say being honest about your situation is a +, if you can’t get them all on payment arrangements before you call or by your deadline.

When you say debt limit do you mean stuff in collections? If you have debt, e.g credit cards, car, etc. you should already have payment plans set up.

I would assume they only care about debt that you have defaulted on, I have student loans in the bazillions of dollars but it wasn't an issue because I make payments on time.

Yes that’s correct...the debt that has gone to collections. I’m not sure if regular debt applies but I know for me, my security POC only discussed my defaulted items that were in collections

Yea I'm pretty sure most people have "debt" over $7500 whether it be student loans, car loan, mortgage, etc. That definitely isn't the issue

Most of the time those are harmless...did they say it was going to hold you up at all?
The cardiologist said it’s common in young healthy people, but she recommended that I do a stress test to see if it normalizes when my heart rate increases. I haven’t seen the AME yet but I’ll see what he has to say.

Update: The AME didn’t think it was cause for concern. It’s still troubling to hear a cardiologist say they want follow-up testing done.

So I was waiting for the "call" today and the phone rang. Unfortunately it was not the FAA with good news but the NTSB drug testing folks. In spite of being told by both medical and HR that I am cleared, I am now being told I need to repeat my drug test. It was negative for drugs but too dilute for the FAA to accept, which apparently happens when you drink a lot of water before giving a sample. Sadly that'll add a short delay of a week or two I presume, but oh well. Just putting it out there that you might have the same thing happen to you.
