To be fair, he said "none are less than 60 years old" which means he acknowledges the age of the centers.

Knowing the FAA, they would have done something like:
Liberty -> Allentown, PA
Lincoln -> South Bend, IN
Great Lakes -> Sandusky, OH
Northeast -> Albany, NY

That's exactly what I was brought up on. 60 mile radius of the ASR running ARTS2e so fancy gimmicks like PTLs weren't a thing. Lots of us worked this way. No big deal and I'm better for it.

As someone who worked at 2 TRACONs and now a Z, I find both these comments to be incredibly accuate and hilarious. Nice.
