I don’t disagree that a weak union will never lead to a pay raise, but you really think we wouldn’t see some sort of cut under that administration? I’m not just talking about pay, I’m talking about benefits or consolidation or work force reduction. Given their contempt for unions, you really think it would matter if we were stronger?

I’ll get downvotes but honestly it’ll hopefully lead us to privatization. Or better yet it’ll make the union prove that they’re worth paying dues for.

Benefits are already going downhill so you can’t blame the new administration for that. The union is on record saying there isn’t enough staffing so a work force reduction is the least likely scenario or it’ll be mostly administrative personnel who don’t do much, at least at the facilities I’ve been to.

It could mean anything up to firing everyone who donated to act blue. The dude is literally campaigning that the start of his term is going to be bad and the economy is going to crash

EOs were enacted banning official time for union work but they never took effect for natca bc of the current contract. I don’t know about other unions. I also don’t know if they ever went into effect or if there were court challenges that resulted in injunctions. It’s a certainty that trump left office, rendering any cases moot before any of these EOs could be heard through the courts and the appeals process.

Can they try? Sure. Can they do it? Remains to be seen

Because we had a contract in place. And Biden cancelled those EOs. Our contract was never opened up under those EO’s

The problem is these EOs or some form of them will be reenacted during any republican presidency. That means we would never ever be able to open our contract again because every extension would lead to a possible republican president

He’s already said he wants to go after people who weren’t loyal to him and opposed him. He has said it all out loud. He’s said he wants to go after doners even.

I fully expect to have to sign a loyalty pledge at a minimum.
