CRWG

It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here but it’s kind of impressive to see the same people bitching and moaning about how life is so unfair, the union is screwing me over, I’m stuck somewhere I don’t want to be even though I knew what I signed up for, woe is me. If nothing else you guys are consistent.
Off with his head

I bet you are where you want to be and making level 12 pay.

Four total releases from level 7 and below up/downs, two of them being priority bids to MIA from black holes. What a joke.
Level 7 up/down is where you go to die. Work busy traffic with shit pay and no one cares about you.

The new academy criteria for a priority facility is places with projected staffing 20% below the national average for academy facilities. The priority list shrank from 85 facilities to 11. Meaning the black hole 4-7s just got a lot darker. Sorry if you're stuck at one, you better settle in for a long wait, maybe your whole career.

CRWG put those facilities in a critically understaffed state with many being 50-65% projected and yet 75% of academy grads can choose to go anywhere they want bypassing the critical need. Many facilities, especially up/downs will never see another trainee again unless people start quitting to drop the projected below 59%. Is this really what NATCA wants for it's members?

Definitely quit and reapply if you’re able/willing to take the slight risk of some shit drastically changing within a year and you’re not able to get back in.

Yeah, they shouldn't have to quit in a just world but unfortunately we don't live in one. The best option if you are stuck is to quit. I'm not just saying that. I quit and came back a few years later and it worked out for me. Now if you have mass resignations from these low level places it would definitely send a message. Life is too short to be stuck where you don't want to be.

Another issue with the academy is that there are a number of facilities that are not fully staffed that have zero trainees. The academy is not placing people to these facilities to make sure at least someone is training at every facility. This overall reduces the training capacity of the NAS and produces less CPCs.

I disagree. No matter how black hole of a town you think it is there are real people that are from that area and want to live there.

And you need an army of those townies to go through the academy and select their hometown 5-15 times before these facilities can release. Be realistic man.
Well that brings me to the next thing the FAA needs to do. Local recruitment. Make those ATMs earn those bonus’s. These towns have people working at wal mart and McDonald’s but they can’t find anyone to go make 90k+?

Don't even sweat it brother. The government has an entire department dedicated to efficiency. I'm sure they're just finalizing the most effective methodology to allocate government resources and they'll roll it out any day now.

Except you have to be one of the best and brightest super geniuses to do this job and last time I walked into a small town Walmart, none of the employees were striking me as such. All the ones smart enough to not work at Walmart are probably also smart enough to find a job with better pay and work life balance.

Also plenty of people that had a chance at a level 12, and to keep their jobs they had to go to one of these places. At least they keep a job though.

The FAA poaches high class workers from Target
