CRWG

The scam was you getting on your knees to get to DEN. I would work 6 day work weeks the rest of my career if it meant people can be where they wanna be. Which is exactly what I’m doing since I had to go to a 12 working 6 days just to be within an 8 hour drive of where I’m from while academy grads constantly filled the other 8 facilities I had papers in for. But that’s just the life of drawing the short straw and getting put at a low level up/down as your first facility.

CRWG was never designed to facilitate transfers. It was put into law to adequately staff air traffic facilities to number the flying public deserves. The transfer portion is a related by-product of good staffing.
Which is why I said from the beginning that we had absolutely no business implementing this right now if we cannot increase academy output. By nature CRWG is a great thing, but realistically it couldn’t have come at a worse time.

Fuck that I wouldn't. You agreed to go anywhere in the US when you signed up for this job. I'm sure the Wendys in your home town/city is hiring.
I understand not everyone would agree with this and I didn’t either until many years at a low level up/down in the middle of buttfuck nowhere lol. It just rubs salt in the wounds with the academy grads going to every desirable place that is already fat staffed for a quick ncept out. Hired too late for regional hiring, too early to pick wherever you wanna go. Pile of shit grad list. Pretty unlucky tbh, is what it is tho.

Unfortunately lots of people get fucked on timing, and its never fair. A few examples, those that got hired right after the FERS contribution raise, people who had kids right before PPL, the AT-CTI rug-pull in 2014, lots of the academy placement rule changes (Two states, regions, national, and now choose your own adventure).

So agree the old numbers were wrong? Support crwg on a message board and they’ll have your head.
No. In my example, there used to be one artificially inflated number and now there are two.

There are some facilities whose numbers drastically needed to be increased and there are other facilities that are so fat their ATM’s are mandating minimum ratios of controllers on position vs. controllers on break and somehow their target numbers got raised.

It’s entirely possible for both of these things to be true, however, that’s a nuanced take and people such as yourself tend to interpret anything shy of dogma as “NATCA hating”.

What year were you hired?

Oh I see. They’re both wrong. Cuz you know. Prolly for a fact even. They should’ve just asked you.

So nice of you to sign other people up for “waste your life at work until you die” I’m sure they all agree with you.

You chose to do that. I also chose to work at a 12 6 days a week. Lots of people have.
But that’s just the life of drawing the short straw and getting put at a low level up/down as your first facility.
So did many of us. People like you choose to go on the internet and blame other people. If you’re at a 12 I’m sure there’s hundreds around the country that would switch spots with you.

Can we get that demand sheet posted? No point in us arguing back and forth anymore, but lots of people would love access to an updated demand sheet. Or at least a reason why it doesn’t get updated often anymore?

I was hired right after the FERS contribution raise. They screwed up my 1st academy check with the old FERS amount and fixed it on the second check plus subtracted the amount they goofed the first check. Then I had my kid 6 weeks before the PPL started. Literally PPL was announced before we even knew we were pregnant. Sometimes it just sucks to suck.
