The new academy criteria for a priority facility is places with projected staffing 20% below the national average for academy facilities. The priority list shrank from 85 facilities to 11. Meaning the black hole 4-7s just got a lot darker. Sorry if you're stuck at one, you better settle in for a long wait, maybe your whole career.
CRWG put those facilities in a critically understaffed state with many being 50-65% projected and yet 75% of academy grads can choose to go anywhere they want bypassing the critical need. Many facilities, especially up/downs will never see another trainee again unless people start quitting to drop the projected below 59%. Is this really what NATCA wants for it's members?
