Terminal Placement list 10/26/2022

Both are projected under 90% staffing, so there is a pretty good chance they could show up. I don't know how the nest works in detail or the criteria they use, but I don't see where asking for either could hurt if they don't show up on your list. Worst they could say is no. Best case they offer you one.

Thanks yeah Im not sure exactly how the nest list is generated either :-/ but thanks for the info anyways!

So you are saying if a facility you’d like to go is not on the list we could ask for it? And see what the response is?

It’s VGT. But unfortunately I know they had a lot of people inbound
The NEST will not send you to a facility above 100% projected. For the record, VGT was able to take advantage of one of the biggest loopholes in the hiring/transfer process currently. On the PPT dated 3/22/18, VGT had a projected % of 74.4%. There are essentially 5 different ways to get there...

Academy
Prior Experience New Hire
NEST
ERR
Hardship

This isn't so much of a "right hand isn't talking to the left hand scenario", this is a we have 5 hands and none of them are talking to each other.
In the few weeks after the PPT locks for the NCEPT panel, you could hypothetically have spots reserved at the academy for VGT, Prior experience new hires being sent to VGT, NEST candidates being send to VGT, Hardship candidates being sent to VGT, and ERR's being sent to VGT because each avenue is only looking at their current projected % of 74.4%. Seemingly, the stars aligned to allow VGT the ability to maximize this loophole. They were given 1 person from the NEST, 3 prior experience new hires, and then 3 ERR's because each source only saw a projected % of 74.4%. This is how you go from 74.4% projected to 140% projected in a few weeks.

This is all true plus another.
It actually resulted in 8 inbounds because they got a Hardship assigned on 5/9/18.
It seemed to me originally that the NEST was after the wave because the date was 5/15 with an EOD of 5/29. This is after the 4/25 PPT where they already displayed 140%. But it must be froze when the list are handed out idk. Also I thought the Priority Placement Terminal wasn't restricted to monthly updates.

The NEST and Hardships work on a slight delay. If an NCEPT panel is on the 14th, it's all about when their list is generated. Lists could be (hypothetically) generated using data on the 13th, then you have time for each to rank, turn in, select, etc. In terms of showing up on the PPT, they were all accounted for between 3/22 and the next update on 4/25.
The Academy placement is the only list that draws from the staffing workbook data with a little more frequency, but as you're seen in the past, that's not without it's faults either. Although it's more common in Enroute, you'd have instances like so....
1 - Reserved for Academy Grad
2 - Reserved for Academy Grad

NCEPT panel happens, they select 8 people, those spots are designated as 3 - 10. If the second academy slot is not selected (or enough people fail that it ends up not being offered). Those 8 people with designated spots 3-10 don't more to 2-9, the 2nd academy slot stays atop the enroute placement list for the next academy class.

And by slight you mean 5 weeks cuz the 3 prev exp put them at 100 on 4/3.
I also noticed the Terminal academy list is starting to skip around randomly. The Enroute has done it a few times already.
This situation worked out fantastic for our people that wanted VGT. And terribly for the Agency's priority placement. Because they're idiots.

They changing this anytime soon?

What determines if a facility is reserved for prior experience new hire? CAK was on the academy list of options and now it shows reserved for prior experience new hire.

Worked APC back in 2014-15, if you want CPC the quickest at a straight forward, not complex facility, this is your place. Might have to commute for “cheaper” housing tho
