I'm in the Southwest region here. I wish I was in the Great Lakes area like Philly. Haha Congrats on clearing medical Philly. Let us know when they get you a class date!

I'm in the Great Lakes area and I had my medical and everything else done before Philly... so I'm guessing region doesn't necessarily determine how fast you are looked at.I'm in the Southwest region here. Some kid on reddit said he got the clear and they asked if he wanted to switch to tower because they don’t have any classes they’re scheduling right now. Anyone else heard this?
Natasha, I feel your pain! The last thing I did was medical on 03/21 and I’ve not been released yet! (Security, MMPI, drug test, fingerprints, etc.). The waiting is brutal though it helps to know I’m not the only one!

So what do we think? Clads dates are about full up for the fiscal year? I'm coming up on my 4 month mark waiting on medical and I'm trying to put off calling the flight surgeon's office.
Me too sir! It’s been a tough 4 months! My employer found out I was leaving back in early April when my boss got a letter from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Every week I get about 15 people asking me if I’ve heard anything yet.

Ouch...that makes it worse. I just left the Army so I don't have that issue. In the mean time I doubt Cabela's will suffer too much if/when I get a class date. What region are you?

Yea I got the same phone call. If I wanted to switch to terminal they could get me in right away. If I want to stay with enroute it won’t be until after August before I get a class date.
Yeah, someone within the hospital made a mistake. A simple phone call cleared it all up!well i know you definitely shouldnt have gotten a bill, someone at some point did something wrong. would probably be simplest to contact the ame's office first to see what the deal is

I think they are saying they have terminal dates available now. If you want to stay enroute your date will be August at the earliest.Two months just to get a class date? Would the class date be far out though or would it be within a few weeks do you think?
I’m enroute as well but idk if I would wanna switch

After August is when the class will be.. and I’ll get an Fol and class date in a month or month and a half from what she said. So I’m guessing late September from what the classes look like on here.

I have a family member that works at a Center so when I got selected I was really hoping to get Enroute... I ended up getting Terminal and it was a blessing in disguise. I'm at an updown so I get the best of both worlds- tower life and radar. I love it! In fact, my family member keeps trying to get me to put in for that Center, but I have no intention of ERRing to a Center at the moment. 🙂

Radar is way more fun than tower, especially at high level facilities where tower is all airliner regulated traffic. Doing actual work beats a nice view any day 🙂 I'm sure a tower controller will chime in soon.I'm enroute and would love to switch, hope I get the call.

You can work both at a terminal facility.
