Hiring Bid Experienced bid: FAA-ATO-18-ATCEXP-56707

Perhaps they've hired all of their prior experience hires for FY 2017 and are unable to hire anyone else until FY 2018. We will have to wait and see.

Around when did the second wave of TOLs come out for the prior experience bid back in April 2017? Just curious cus I called today and asked if there would be another wave for the March bid but the guy just said if they need more people then they can pull more names from the referral list and that’s it. I’m at 112 days from ETS so I’m anxious...

I just called my hr. Right from the horses mouth they met their quota. No lists until October. I'm 2017 prior experienced bid. I also asked for 2017 and 2018 bids. He said October. Ffs.

Atleast there are a few reports for October so I feel better about that. Since I separate early November, hopefully I can get a start date for my in between job soon..

Received an email today regarding a request from the flight surgeon... wants me to complete an eye exam. I was diagnosed with a condition before leaving the military, but fortunately it does not affect my vision. My guess is that the flight surgeon wants to verify this. If that's the only thing the flight surgeon has requested, I am okay with that!

I had to do something similar. The flight surgeon requested “status update” forms on two of my service connected VA disabilities. I turned the forms in the day after it was requested and here I am over a month later...still waiting on my medical clearance.

What form numbers are they? I would like to get ahead on this.

This is my 2nd exp bid. Received TOL on 8 June 2018. Was offered 2 facilities for last years bid but turned both down. Security and medical clearances both carried over from last year so just had to retake the drug test. Talked to my HR POC yesterday and she said lists aren't expected to go out until October.

How long does it take for your MMPI results and initial security clearance?
Case by case basis but received my security clearance within a few weeks, MMPI took about 2 months and medical clearance about 3 if I remember correctly. You don't actually get to see your MMPI2 results (if anyone knows how lmk!!). Call your HR POC when you're bored to check status.

6/8: TOL
7/5: CIL
7/11: MMPI-2
7/16: Prints and Credit form
7/16: e-QIP
7/30: MMPI passed
7/30: Request for SF-180 returned
8/13: Physical

Still waiting on security clearance to go through. Physical should be fine.

Anyone have any updates from their HR? I know that we won't see any facility lists for a while... just wondering if anyone has been tagged with followup requirements. I had a full eye exam last Monday--turned in paperwork the following day. I am going to followup with HR later this week to see if I can't stay on top of verifying my security and medical clearances. My excuse other than just being nosy and proactive: I never received a reply reference returning my eye exam paperwork; AND there was a hiccup with my drug test (paperwork/facility) that I need to make sure they accepted.
