Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-18-ALLN90-54212

I was hired under the 2018priorexpbid. Turned down the facility they offered me and asked if they could send me to N90 and they agreed. Will be going to the FAA Academy in November. Will I have to take the AT SA and what pay band would I fall when I make it to the facility?

Why would you take the ATSA? If you've already been offered a facility you're not going to to go backwards in the hiring process.

I was one of the ~800 qualified (based off location) out of the ~1400 that applied. I was surprised about how many didn't read the application in it's entirety or just hit the apply button anyway. Took the ATSA on Sep 6th. Expecting referral results mid/end of September when all of the scores are in. I believe the last day to schedule a test was around Sep 14th. Good luck to all those in the hunt!

I've read that results will come in mid September from multiple people, but where is this coming from? Based on what I've read happens during other bids, it at least takes 1 month for any change to show up on USAjobs. On average, it's probably more like 3 months. Also, people don't usually get their actual test results back, but rather theres a change from received to referred if they pass.

If this notion is coming from the PSI staff, I'm thinking it's much more likely that PSI will have the results in after the last test date, but it'll take 1-3 months for HR to organize all the results to referred/not referred and have it show up on the system.

We have nothing to go on except speculation, this bid is the first of its kind. I want to say that since N90 is in dire need of trainees that would mean this bid gets floored except the FAA’s reputation, garnered from this site, doesn’t make me confident a first time thing will go smoothly... in any case, only time will tell. At least we aren’t OTS Bid *bless*

Yeah, just cause we have much smaller pool of applicants compared to the OTS bid, I'd assume the process would go a bit faster for us, but who knows. It sounds like there's already a large group of trainees that are starting/will soon start to train at N90 though, so i'd guess that the needs aren't dire enough that they would accelerate the process for us much. Don't really think that would be possible, regardless.

After clicking the Additional Details button and being redirected to the FAA's site, mine now says "a referral list was issued. Your application is among those being reviewed. Please continue to check back for status updates."

Anyone else? Does that mean Referred, or what?

I’m seeing the same message

Mine still says “Your application has been reviewed and we have determined that you are eligible for further consideration for this position(s). Please contact the number listed in the announcement if you would like further information.” So ether I failed or they’re still deciding. ?? only time will tell.

Wait that's a different message that the others and I have, and it's more definitive that you passed...

Yeah, that sounds even further along than the message the rest of us have. Whereas I interpret mine to say that I've been referred to the FAA and will be reviewed, yours sounds as though the FAA's already looked at your stuff and moved you on to the next step.

Sorry guys! I was working, it’s been like that for a long time, like since they told me I was taking the ATSA. so I don’t think I’m further along than the rest of you fellas. :(

It also doesn’t say I’m referred and nothing has significantly changed on my application since it changed a while back.
