Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-18-ALLN90-54212

Any rumor on TOL yet guys?

I got my TOL today. Hopefully you get yours soon!

How do I find out which FAA facility is closest to me? I'm assuming it's JFK, is there a website or directory listing where I can input my ZIP and I'll know for sure? Does this matter since the TOL states I'll be assigned to N90 on successful training?

I assume that question is just for when they schedule you to take the MMPI2, which has to be done on a computer at a FAA facility. While LGA is probably technically closer for me, I put N90 down - I've been there before, and it was relatively painless via public transportation, but getting to the LGA tower without a car would be a pain.

Hey, it sounds like you know the process better than me. I did some research on it before, but it's been a while. Can you fill me in on what's to come?

e-qip for security clearance, mmpi2 for medical eval....but what's the expected timeline?

Hiring Process Overview

Next is a CIL with security clearance and medical info, including the ability to start scheduling the MMPI2, drug screen, etc. Timeline is anyone's guess - they send CILs periodically to avoid a bottleneck. Based on how quickly they've moved with this bid so far, some of us could get one this week, or it may be several months - really no way to know. Beyond that, it's however long your medical and security clearances takes before you'll see a FOL.

There are no pools for this bid. You would have had to select which pool you were applying to if there were.

That’s what it was normally but this last years OTS bid was a little different, there was some EODS paperwork and basics stuff they sent before CIL. I imagine that’s the new process. We all got that a month or so after TOL then another month or so before CIL stuff started rolling in

Interesting. What's EODS?

I suspect the N90 bid with hundreds of applicants will be different than an OTS bid with thousands of applicants
Yeah you’re probably right, I just wanted to let it be known it might be different

Interesting. What's EODS?
Entrance in duty system or something. You have to do it anyways but last bid they sent it out early as a prereq for CIL. But GulfBravo might be right, they might do it the same as always since it’s a smaller bid
