That is exactly the ATSA.

I never knew my score. I felt like I just sucked during the ATSA especially during the separation portion where literally at times I was just spamming keys with no rhyme or reason to which were actually in conflict, which were not. I also tried really hard to answer the math questions and probably got 0 of them correct. I still ended up getting a TOL.

What we think is graded heavier than other portions may not be entirely true. While separation is important remember that this is at the very core, an aptitude test. There is no right or wrong answer only how you assess the situation presented to you and how you respond. Good luck to everyone I remember waiting on that bloody email every time my phone went off my heart soared. You’ll likely feel like that until you finally get that coveted class date. Nothing quite like that feeling, for sure.

Pool 1 breakdown
237 out of 237 Band 1 Vets were selected
373 out of 452 Band 1 CTI's were selected
0 out of 52 Band 2 Vets were selected
0 out of 363 Band 2 CTI's were selected

82% of referred Vets were Band 1
55% of CTI's were Band 2

That's a huge difference. I promise you Veterans do not have a higher aptitude than CTI's.

As a 5 point Veteran that morally refused to game the VA system like almost everyone I know, and knowing that the chances that anyone with an actually disabling disability that still medically qualifies as an atc are slim, I hope you don't get crap.

Maybe you have friends that gamed the system who aren't actually injured. However, to publicly shame/insinuate that people you don't know have done the same is immoral as f***. As a service member I would suggest you unf*** yourself and your narrow minded point of view.

Also, it's fairly easy to still receive a disability rating and be a controller. Eyes, ears, mouth and hands are the key physical traits needed. Aside from that being mentally stable.

It's added to the ATSA score. There is no numerical value attributed to anything prior to the ATSA. The ATSA is the only numerical piece of the hiring process.

So as previously mentioned if you're 5 or 10 point it will go on your score after you take it.

I guess it depends on the CTI program but in my opinion Vets (including no aviation experience) were better then the majority of CTI people.

You get 10% disability just for ED it’s almost impossible to separate and not get at least 10%. They force that crap on you when you separate.

Just like there are good politicians, but until they are even close to the majority I'm going to talk shit about all of them.

Of the 4,552,819 veterans receiving disability benefits as of FY 2017: 1,786,980 have tinnitus, 1,157,585 have hearing loss, 964,038 have PTSD, 658,776 have other mental disabilities, and 156,658 have other auditory disabilities. The real question is should you receive tax payer money every month for your disability when have a 6 figure tax payer funded job?

Okay so safe to say you've never probably had to ruck with 75lbs on your back for 12+ miles. Had to wear body armor for days, weeks, months at a time or anything else that is well known for breaking down soldiers/marines. Additionally, that means your PT standards are more lax. So basically you're the worst possibly qualified person to talk crap about disabled service members.

The VA where veterans literally die in the waiting rooms? Yeah..... the veterans are the bad individuals in that equation.

You do realize that most of those figures probably overlap right? And that there's this weird part of becoming a controller called a medical. Where you go see an AME, get screened and can be DQ'd for those specific disabilities?

Ofcourse you should receive money for disability when you make 6 figures. You gave up your body to serve your country. There's no "if you serve you're guaranteed a 6 figure salary" entitlement for serving in the armed forces, d******. That compensation is for injuries that are service connected. That income has no relevance to your federal CIVILIAN position with the FAA.

You talked about what I hadn't done in the military and said "You're the worst qualified to talk about disabled service members". So you're saying people that also haven't done those things that are disabled veterans arn't qualified to talk about disabled service members? And the people that did the stuff you listed and and are not broken are qualified to talk about disabled service members? Doesn't make much sense to me.

If you are using the system correctly you should be the first one calling out the enormous amount of people abusing it.
