Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-16-ALLSRCE-49075 Bid

Received my CIL this morning
Congratulations! I received my tol about a week and half ago. I'm nervous because I never got a confirmation email back after sending it and the other forms in. I called aviation careers and they told me not to worry about it and that they would call us if we didn't respond to the tol email. Just want to make sure I'm not slipping through the cracks on this one. Are you en route or terminal?

Wanted to reiterate this for others. You won't get any sort of confirmation your paperwork was received. It sucks, but thats how it is, and it's normal. They will contact, by phone, anyone they don't receive paperwork from if they were sent a TOL. So if it gets sent to the wrong address, filtered as spam, lost, etc., it will be checked up on.

It would be beneficial to everyone if they confirmed receipt of things, especially during the clearance process, but welcome to the FAA. It never gets any better.

Wierd though because I got a "received "email when I sent in my documents from the TOL. It took about a week after I sent in my TOL documents to get a response. Then I waited 3 1/2 weeks for my CIL.

Maybe they switched it up after they became inadated with TOL.

I definitely received a confirmation email after I sent in all my paperwork for the TOL I guess my POC was on top of things got TOL on the seventh received my confirmation email on the eighth and then received my CIL today the 15th

Enroute

I submitted my TOL paperwork the same night I got it (14th) and yesterday afternoon received the "confirmed" email from HR. Someone in HR must be sucking down coffee!

That's good if they are. But if they don't, it's no reason for concern. :yay:

Feels like this process for telling people when they receive the email is pretty new. I have been following this process pretty closely and I can't remember people from previous bids talking about it.

Definitely some inconsistency with hr but I'm sure they are saturated with tol's cil's and much more.

Yeah some people have gotten the confirmed email and some havent. They said they will reach out to the people who don't have all the required documents via email/phone though.

Currently waiting for my CIL now, some people have gotten theirs, some havent.

Received my en route TOL on 2/14 (Pool 1, CTI) and submitted all of the signed required docs late on 2/16. I have not received a confirmation email yet but I bet the long holiday weekend might have something to do with it. Trying to sort through the fluff over on SM it appears some have received a CIL without the FAA ever acknowledging they received the paperwork. I'm thinking better play it safe than sorry, this was my sixth bid since graduation and the furthest I have ever gotten. Would be a punch in the gut to get disqualified over something so trivial.

Did they give a deadline to respond by? HR only works M-F and they're off today. Business as usual starting tomorrow
The email said we had five days to respond and if we submitted everything and had not received a confirmation email within four days to contact HR. I submitted my paperwork within two days and I have not heard back yet, its been four days, must be the holiday. I'm guessing they are closed today and will reach out tomorrow.

Received my CIL yesterday. It took about two and a half weeks after sending in the TOL.
Good stuff, that's great to hear. In a previous post you mentioned you never received a confirmation email and when you called they said not to worry about it. Did Aviation Careers end up responding with a confirmation prior to receiving your CIL?

Yes they did send a confirmation email about five or six days before the CIL.
