Trip home from rtf

So I'm at rtf and in the contract it says anything longer than 30 days the faa should pay for 1 free trip home. Since my stay is only 37 days my hr rep said its supposed to be after the 30 days that you're entitled to that so it wasn't approved, is she correct?

I don't know the HR rules about it, but I know that most of the students at RTF are taking a weekend trip during a weekend of their choosing. Doesn't matter if they've been there for 30 days yet or not.

I don't believe taking the trip is the issue... He wants the faa to pay for his weekend trip home. I would have to look at the contract. If it does in fact say that I would get ahold of your facrep and let him or her press the issue.

If they want you to do 30 days do 30 days and take your trip home on the FAA's nickel. Sometimes you just got to play the game.

Yes, the contract definitely says that for every 30 days away from your duty station the FAA provides you one round trip. At my old facility people did it for RTF every time. You don't have to wait until 30 days and time it in that 30-37 day window.

I'm here for Rtf/Tsew and took my first trip home during my first weekend here. Already booked my second

Was just in RTF a couple months ago and used the FAA paid trip in the middle of my time there, booked it all through my home facility, but I think you can do it all through SATO so long as your home facility approves it once it’s in the system.

My question would be, will you still collect per diem if your not at your temporary duty location during that time?
