Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ATCEXP-61675

Question for those of you smarter than me, when do we do the drug test? The email said

You are required to take a drug test within 5 business days of completing your physical examination.

Is that within 5 days after the exam? 5 days before? Does it matter?
I just went with after.

The way I read it/ did it was after my medical. I was able to knock them both out the same day luckily.

No idea how long medical will take, dont wont to schedule and miss because im still at the ame.

How long did medical take?
~ 2 hours
Also don’t know if everyone’s was like this but my drug test was very lax when it came to time. My ame was 1.5 away and still made it back with plenty of time.

I was referred. Another controller that resigned also got 'not hired'

Makes zero sense to hire new controllers that might wash over proven former employees, but if it makes too much sense, don't expect the government to be on board  Good luck next opening, man.

How long have you been separated from the FAA?
Since February so I think enough time hasn't passed? I'm not too worried about it, I'll get back in. I understand the need for a wait time so that people don't just up and leave when a bid comes out. Better luck next time I guess

Yeah, that’s probably the reason why. Good luck on the next one.

I resigned in April this year and received TOL for this bid.

So if you are a former CPC do you still have to wait a year before getting picked up on a prior-exp bid

I thought the 365 day wait was only for direct hire? I may be wrong but I don’t believe there is a time limit to reapply for an open bid. It’s been less than 6 months since I quit and I have a TOL. I also spoke with HR and was told I would receive a list to rank.

I was in for 2 years. Maybe I just didn't get picked.
