Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ATCEXP-63736

Haha what's the point of ranking it. So if you don't accept the job offer will they send another one off the list or you just have to try again on another future bid?
They try to actually give you something you want. But they also hand out #18 on your list sometimes. If you don't like what they give you can deny it, and reapply later.

Personally I don't think you should be able to since the first question you're asked when applying is "ARE YOU WILLING TO WORK ANY WHERE IN THE US?"
I get lists can suck and they can give you some place terrible, but you told them you'd work anywhere.

Oh I agree. I just was curious how that worked. We will be going where ever I am offered (if I ever get to that point). Can always switch facilities down the road if it's a crappy place. Thanks for the info. Slow waiting game and wife has lots of questions.

No worries bud, I'm also stuck waiting for a CIL. And got the same mindset as you. I told you(FAA) I'd go anywhere, so I'll take what I get and try and get somewhere better down the road

Find any NCEPT thread and you can read about the transfer program. It depends on facility staffing, luck, and where your co-workers are trying to go amongst other things.

Thanks that will be helpful as well. I appreciate it. Still haven't got my CIL my buddy got his a month ago so now my wife is worried since it's been a month and still nothing.

Yea I called yesterday and only got voicemail. Wonder if everyone waiting has the same HR rep haha

I did too. They pretty much said if you accepted the TOL then you'd get the CIL you just have to wait for your batch to be sent out. No timeframe was given unfortunately.

I’m sure you’d sing a different tune if you had a family and were offered aspen or any other low level high col facility.

I agree. 6 years with the army. We can live anywhere for a couple years. 3 kids under the age of 4 we will go where we get offered.

Yea, I'm not saying I'll be happy about where I end up. But if I say I'll go anywhere, then get an FOL and say "oh any where but there" then I don't got a little thing called Tegridy

Yeah, I had to be on HR weekly. My buddy hadn’t even separated from the AF and got a TOL on the first wave and I was already out for a few months. So I called HR and gave them my name and told them I’m already out of the military and am ready to get started on the process the next Monday I got my TOL.
I waited over a month for my CIL and had to call and tell them what I told them before and by the end of the week I got my CIL.

Not just the FAA personnel fuck up, my MMPI proctor messed up too and delayed me even more from getting a list. Moral of the story: bug HR and bug the POCs for your clearances.
That’s exactly what I had to do! I got my CIL on 11 Dec, finished everything within 2-3 weeks and I should be getting a list next week. I hope so anyway! Haha

Anybody receive a call from the FAA this morning to make sure you really wanted an OCONUS assignment? They just wanted to make sure I knew about the fact that there's no relocation assistance.

Nope, you must've said you we're really interested in Guam in the survey. Good luck bro!

STT, ITO, and FAI were in my 10 top. I think that's what prompted the call.
You’re probably right your top 3 prompted the call. Usually if you have an OCNOUS location and put it as a top choice, you get it. You actually have them as your top 3 so yea
